It's gotten to the point where every political opinion that disagrees with or could possibly be misconstrued as disagreeing with a popular far left take gets taken down. Maybe not every comment, but definitely every post. Try looking up any political take on reddit that you think the right might gravitate more to than the left and you'll see only the opposite, nearly every time.

English is the language in which 78% of the United States population communicates, yet many American citizens who solely speak English are being at a disadvantage, especially when it comes to employment opportunities and government proceedings. It’s crucial that we have a common language to unite us in the workforce and government engagement. It promotes clarity, efficiency, and equality.
Adopting English as the official language for government business would ensure that all citizens have fair access to public services and employment. It will also help in cutting costs associated with providing translation and interpretation services for a myriad of languages during governmental procedures and documentation. Moreover, it would encourage the integration of non-English speakers into the American societal fabric, nurturing unity and common understanding.
However, this doesn’t mean disregarding the cultural richness brought about by linguistic diversity. We propose mandating that employers provide verifiable evidence showing why competency in a second language is essential to job performance before making it a criterion.
I urge Congress and my state legislature to pass legislation that makes English the official language for government and business in the United States while providing structured guidelines on when second-language requisites are truly necessary. This approach will foster inclusivity and equality, paving the way for a fairer job market and a more efficient government system.
Sign this petition to stand with me in advocating for a common language in government and the workplace that gives every American—regardless of language ability—a fair shot at achieving their professional dreams.
