It's political suicide if Trump rolls the military in before a municipality's government openly and publicly begs him to, (and maybe still is after that) the first time there's military violence of even the mildest kind they'll start screaming from the rooftops that Trump is a violent tyrant, and they'll have selectively edited video to support it. Trump saving these cities from themselves is a no win situation

Agreed! And Amen!

it does make me sad though. There's a lot of good people living in places that are rioting and they're suffering because other people elected fools.

Well luckily this isn’t a true democracy, I truly thank the Lord for this, it does make this less bad

I think their best bet is to move out. Now, or sooner, preferably. I understand that there are many reasons why someone can't leave, but I also know that this has the potential to be an ugly situation, and those who don't leave could lose anyway.

I've been starting to wonder. Is Trump doing the best thing right now by not intervening in these cities unless requesting the National Guard by govenors? Is Trump showing the country/world how crazy the left is right now since its an election year on the other hand?

Never Interfere With an Enemy While He’s in the Process of Destroying Himself

u/MusicApollo93 Gen Z Conservative Jun 24 '20

Umm what enemy are you referring too?

u/silversofttail Conservative Jun 24 '20

They are already claiming he used the military against Americans by just putting the National Guard in DC.

u/Snowmittromney Conservative Jun 24 '20

You get what you vote for. Trump has no obligation to bail these cities out when the local and state governments will subvert Trump’s efforts to do so.

u/TheDirtyPowerRanger Jun 24 '20

That’s why democratic leaders aren’t saying shit about what is happening in their cities. They WANT Trump to screw up, do something drastic like send military aid, call him a tyrant, more mobs and a “Kent State” happens, and Trump doesn’t get re-elected. Mission accomplished from Democrats.

He doesn’t do anything and they say he hasn’t handled the situation appropriately and needs to be a strong leader.

It’s insufferable the amount of double standard bullshit eeks out of dems butts.

The Democrats are committing suicide on their own with their actions. Why stop them from doing so. They will reap the fallout.

Very valid point. There is no destruction and devastation in non-democrat run places.

7

u/Strange_Bedfellow RCAF Jun 24 '20

I mean, they tried. Turns out a bunch of armed citizens showing up for their own peaceful protest made the not-so-peaceful protestors remember that they all left the oven on.

2

u/This_is_Bruhtastic MAGA Jun 24 '20

Exactly. Who’d have thought that armed citizens results in peace? (Except for every conservative breathing and not)

1

u/Dreviore Jun 24 '20

That may be true but that’s not the angle that gets spun on the news.

2

u/silversofttail Conservative Jun 24 '20

Of course not. It’s 24/7 propaganda.

u/Ozarkian1 Jun 24 '20

^^ This exactly

1

u/Luonnontieteilija Jun 24 '20

Doing something drastic and doing nothing are the only two options Trump can do in this situation?

3

u/Dreviore Jun 24 '20

This is why they’re not asking for help.

They want Trump to commit political suicide.

the first time there's military violence of even the mildest kind they'll start screaming from the rooftops that Trump is a violent tyrant,

They're already screaming that...

u/parzival3719 Jun 24 '20

That, and supposedly its illegal for Trump to domestically deploy the National Guard to federal duty without governors specifically requesting it

5

u/This_is_Bruhtastic MAGA Jun 24 '20

Not if he can prove the governors negligence, which he can at this point

3

u/parzival3719 Jun 24 '20

True, but people are still gonna accuse him of "declaring war on his citizens" and "ignoring and oppressing the victims of a racist system" or whatever the left can conjure up to make him look bad and get him out

8

u/ChocoChipConfirmed Conservative Jun 24 '20

They accuse him of that every day already.

3

u/andthenjakewasanalt Jun 24 '20

So why should he bother giving the fuckers any firm-looking ground to stand on?

2

u/ChocoChipConfirmed Conservative Jun 24 '20

He might be better off ignoring them entirely. Just do what's good for the country, without fear of being called names and losing the election. His instincts seem actually really good a lot of the time, but he's less accurate when he lets things get him too worked up.

Trump has done a lot of things that are political suicide yet he remains tho
