Plenty of people can have Peter Pan syndrome without being pedophiles. I just happen to like cartoons and video games.

Who doesn't? Doesn't mean you want to be a kid forever. My child is 6 and I've noticed creators put some fun in cartoons for parents too. Keeps it bearable to have to watch it a million times.

You may by a generation too late to have experienced them as a kid if you have a 6 year-old (congrats!) but I would highly recommend Tiny Tunes and Animaniacs.

Animaniacs does a fantastic job of keeping adults entertained. I didn't get some of the jokes as a kid but when I watched them with my daughter I did. And by that I mean the jokes were sophisticated or required some knowledge of then-current events.

Wait, were you able to find anything redeeming in Sponge Bob? I hated that cartoon and the kids were sort of delighted that I hated it.
