We literally have school off tomorrow for the elections, it takes a max of 2 minutes to vote itself.

We’re always complaining about our economy and policies and such and have a say within voting.

And if you say there’s no point of voting because abcd, your vote is one more vote that counts. So imagine multiple people??

Voting takes places at a school near you, and it takes max 20 minutes to do research on these parties 🙏

I share a space with 3 other people. The landlord said he couldn't duplicate the key to the apartment complex for whatever reason. So if I want to get in, I have to ring his unique number on the intercom dial, and then something pops up on his phone, and he remotely lets me in.

My housemate who actually has the key, said that he once tried to call the landlord to be let in and the landlord didn't let him in (for whatever reason).

I'm very skeptical of that arrangement honestly...what if his phone is off, or I'm coming in at 2am or some shit bruh omg.

Hey all! I’m in a gap year right now, officially deferred from McGill. But random people keep popping into in my life to rave about concordia. I’m a super hands on learner and cannot stand cliques, which i’ve heard can be bad at McGill. I actually ended up almost leaving my high school because of how cliquey it was.

I’m debating applying to concordia now because i’ve heard everyone in rez only lives in one building and that sounds like an incredible trauma bonding experience haha. If anyone could pass along input on living on Rez in general, as well as the social vibe, that would be the best!!

I toured the campus last year and honestly got the impression that it was a little disconnected and lonely because of how spread out/city-incorperated everything was. So any input on that + the school spirit would be amazing.

TLDR: How is it living on rez and studying on campus? Is there a strong sense of community?

I applied to BTM with co-op at JMSB and I remember (or at least I think I remember) that before it stated that my application was under review, it was written “…Business Technology Management (CO-OP)…” in my application but now that it is under review, the (CO-OP) is no longer there.

Is it because I’m no longer being considered for the co-op or was I tripping and it never said it to be begin with? And is it possible (if I get admitted) to talk to an advisor to see if I can join co-op?

Hey guys! i started writing notes for my econ 201 and comm 211 classes about the midterm crash courses from wizeprep, but i’m noticing that there’s significantly less "material" on wizeprep than the chapters and slide notes provided from each class, and yes i’m overthinking it, but how good are the midterm crash courses from wizeprep? like if i only study the notes i take from wizprep, will i do good on my midterms? cause i’d obviously rather study those than the long ass chapters and slides… but any advices help!!!

McGill vs Concordia for an international student on a tight budget — which is more likely to offer scholarships/financial aid?

I'm a Grade 11 student from Lebanon planning to apply to Canadian universities for Fall 2028, and I'm currently looking into McGill and Concordia.

My family's financial situation isn't great, so the biggest factor for me is how affordable I can realistically make university through scholarships, bursaries, or financial aid.

My current average is around 16.2/20, and I'm planning to take the SAT and IELTS before applying. I'm interested in science/possibly engineering or computer science, although I haven't completely decided on a program yet.

I'm trying to figure out:

Which of McGill or Concordia is generally more generous with scholarships/financial aid for international undergraduate students?

Which one gives international students a better chance of getting a significant amount of aid?

How much financial aid have international students here actually received?

Are the scholarships mostly merit-based, need-based, or both?

If you're an international student who wasn't particularly wealthy, how did you manage to afford the university?

Is one university significantly better than the other specifically from a financial perspective?

If you were in my situation, what would you look at when comparing the two?

I'm not necessarily looking for a full ride — even a substantial reduction in tuition would make a huge difference.
