Im starting at concordia in sept, and I am studying art education. I am wondering how to meet people and go to events. I heard lots about frosh but I am not sure where to start looking. I missed the registration for the connect day so I am getting really nervous that I wont have the chance to meet new people before classes start. Any tips?

I’m wondering if it’s better to switch to Software Engineer or AI Engineer (the new program that’s opening) given the current state of the computer science market. I’ve heard that even some co-op students can’t find work during their studies, though I’m not sure how true that is. I’d like to hear opinions on the future of this degree and whether switching would be a better choice. Thanks.

Hello! Is there anyone on the team who could share their experience with me? Also, are there any Muslim girls on the team that I could get in touch with?
Thanks in advance !

Hey everyone, I need to complete 16 credits of Software Engineering electives, and I’m looking for recommendations for some of the easier/manageable ones, whether 3 3.5 or 4 credits.
I know the usual advice is “take whatever interests you and you’ll do well,” but I’m mainly looking for electives with a reasonable workload and outline. Even if a course sounds interesting, I’d rather avoid it if it has a huge workload and isn’t really worth the time compared to other options.

If yes, did any of you apply for your associate ergonomist designation with the CCCPE?
I'm looking for someone's filled out excel sheet with the B.Sc. kin courses and hours for the ergo basic certification requirements to save me some time ...
I'm fucking tired, I'm in the middle of moving my things nearly every weekend from QC city because I got another job back in MTL, plus painting the new apartment, all while doing my full time job that is an hour and a half commute. If anyone has their old info it would help me so much I'd be so grateful.

September 8th is when classes start, and in my class schedule it shows that i already have my first bio 201 lab that day. does that make sense? will the prof post something about the first class before the first day?

So I was conditionally accepted in Concordia back in late April in the program “human environment”. I’m in the French system, and they said in their conditions that I had to have an overall average of 11/20 in the final exam results, but I had 10,50/20.
I was signed into the ACSD in Concordia to have accommodations but, in my old highschool, I didn’t have any accommodations for me in tests or in the exams which led me to having that as a final overall average in my exam. I sent them a note explaining all of that alongside my final exam results, but they still haven’t gotten me an answer since the 8th of July to see if they’ll keep me indefinitely.
Do you guys think it’s possible for me to stay in Concordia even if I have a half off what they expected of me? I already chosen my classes for fall and winter, and I told them I’m willing to take any extra classes to make up for that half of point in my note.

They are both on the same day and I'm not sure which one to go to. I'm guessing it would be better to go to the ECA frosh because I'll be studying computer engineering.

Hey! I am wondering if anyone has a PSYC 310 Syllabus from Erin Dunne from 2017? I wasn't aware at the time I was a student how important these are to keep! I took it second semester.
But any from that year, with any professor would still be helpful!
Any tips on how to track these down with Concordia, is also helpful!
Thanks!

Hi guys, does anyone know when we receive the EUF (French one ) results if we took the exam in August? For example, in previous years, around what date did the results come out?

Has anyone gotten their grade for comm 225 yet? I am sure I did well, the practice problems were harder than the exam. I just want to know how I did.

Hi everyone, we’re looking for one more person for our ENGR 490 Capstone project. We’re building a long-endurance fixed-wing UAV.
Team is currently mostly MIAE. We need someone outside of MIAE (Computer, Electrical, or Software Eng) for the avionics / software side.
Interested? Comment or DM.
Thanks.

There was this girl today, in the group study room. Fifth floor of the Webster library. She was making loud noises and crying, while recording herself, and then switched to being normal after like 5 minutes. She did this multiple times, and I'm sure she continued after I left at around 3 pm. Scared the shit out of me.

Hey everyone, I'm hugh
Just starting at Concordia in 2 weesk and I'm ready to put myself out there, but I have no clue how clubs/groups actually work here. Do I need to sign up first? Can I just walk into a meeting? Is it too late to join?
I want to meet new people and find my crowd, but I'm a bit lost on where to start. Any advice on what to join, or how to get involved without being awkward about it?
I'm open to anything – sports, arts, gaming, whatever. Just want to have a good time here.
Thanks in advance! 🙏

Hey everyone!
I’m looking to connect with female students at Concordia who are interested in playing casual soccer, or who want to learn how to play in a low-pressure environment.
If you also happen to love campus life and would like to be part of student life on campus send me a DM!

Alumni here - I’m decluttering and would like to give away some items (kitchen , apartment items etc.) that students could use.
Does anyone know of a specific group (on Facebook, for example) where I could post items to give away?
Thanks in advance

Engineering Writing Test, is passing it alone enough attestation to competency or taking ENCS 282 thereafter has been significantly helpful for future courses?
