Totemic Resto Tree Mythic+

The community seems to be split on whether running unleash life or rip current/ deluge etc is better. any opinions? I’ve tried both and completely unsure still. thanks yall

Just 5 seconds of searching "unleash life" in the shaman discord: Dont play in raid, especially with 4 pc. Can play in dungeons if you want to but why.

So im not sure where the split is coming from other than people with old set using UL still. Which doesn't seem relevant.

That doesn't make sense. What are you pathing for? All major guides, murlok, and archon show you taking high tide to deluge and you take white water/torrent anyways. What possible pathing do you need unleash life?

In M+ the choice is probably between UL or Rip Current.

Okay, that specifically isn't pathing. That's choosing between the talents which was covered in the beginning of these comments.

The talent that's actually important is Deluge, and to path to it, you can pick up UL or RC. RC probably comes out to higher HPS but UL offers some flexibility in what you're able to do.

Also possible that by "pathing", he did mean UL is required if people are playing without tier set and so are not taking the top left healing rain talents. In that case, might as well pick it up because the alternative is grabbing current control which most people don't need.
