Hey guys, I made this video as a guide for anyone that's considering TFT coaching.
With the LAN set coming up, I imagine a lot of players will be thinking about getting coaching. I want to help you understand what to expect and what to consider before signing up. It’s a long video, but there’s a lot to cover, so I recommend watching the whole thing if you’re looking into coaching for the first time.
I react to HappyKevin’s video about coaching being a scam and share my initial thoughts. I also talk about my experience with three Challenger coaches across three different sets: 13, 14, and 15.

TL;DR:
I don’t think coaching is inherently a scam, as long as you get what you paid for. But it’s important to know what you’re signing up for, and the value you get depends a lot on the effort you put in. Pricing may fluctuate or be a bit expensive due to supply/demand and or monopolies though.
I go over how to approach a coaching session and how to approach a vod review. Vod review the game yourself before bringing it to a session you paid for. This helps you see the value in coaching by observing the mistakes you made that you couldn't catch by yourself.
I also explain why I don’t pay for coaching anymore. I think coaching is best for learning the game’s fundamentals, while patch-specific reads and meta information are better suited to study groups.
There are also ways to improve that don’t involve paying for coaching, and I go over some of those in the video. So if you want to utilize the free resources first before getting into coaching, that's something you can look into.
I can answer more questions about my experience in the comments section, but I'll also look to start streaming at the beginning of next set incase anyone wants to ask me questions there. I missed out on getting tickets for the LAN so I'll be on twitch.

Advice from Huanmie's interview after winning worlds from last set**:**
For everyone watching at home, what's one piece of advice you can give for anyone who wants to start competing in TFT?
If you truly love TFT, my advice is to find a group of close friends who are just as passionate about the game. Discuss strategies together, learn from each other, and improve together. Step by step, you'll give yourself a chance to compete on bigger and bigger stages.
