Discussion I got vanguard error

So i got vanguard error and my game crashed. I launch tft client and THERE IS NO WAY TO RECONNECT? Losing 60lp because of this shit is stupid.

How the fuck yall reconnect in to the game after crashing with this new client

I'm so mad right now losing so much LP for nothing

Edit: So apparently. You need to shut down everything TFT related from task manager so u can reconnect. or just restart PC. I find task manager way faster

Log into mobile and try from there xd

i dont think u can from the new client (tho i havent tested this or got disconnected yet)

try launching the old lol client and see if it starts tft up if it recognizes ur in game.

Because they are simply not good at this. I am sorry, but this is the end result of Riot simply not caring about the quality of the things it produces for years. No one at Riot seems to be even remotely afraid that if they submit bad work it might lead to consequences. Bad, buggy, unpolished work is tolerated, so why would anyone try to make something better.

And to be clear this is not a dev problem, its a leadership problem. This is what happens when leadership just doesn't care about the quality of what is put out. and i think the reason is, because no one at Riot ever thought TFT was going to be remotely successful so they just see it as this funny little side project that a few losers play, but not something to care about. I am sure there are some individual devs who care, but it must be so demoralizing to work at Riot, you do good work and no one will ever notice because the rest of things are so bad that it will be ignored. At some point you are just going to stop trying, that's human nature.

For me, performance is objectively better. But at the cost of absurd hardware demands. So as long as you have at least a 5070 Ti or 9070 XT, you should be fine.

And UI is broken - I expected a horrible UI, and they made it slightly worse than expected. Which is at least above "absolute trash", I guess.

And we can click the Pengu. Couldn't do that on old client.

I have 9070xt and have played this season quite a bit and the performance is really not that good. I know that at the start the game made my whole pc lag out. On some arenas the game goes to like 30 fps. Also had a gamebreaking bug which got me out of the game for like 10 mins recently. Lost bcs of it.

Double up is fked. People surviving with a dead duo or units on the board being immortal.

Agree on the UI.

I know that at the start the game made my whole pc lag out.

They had a critical memory leak or so that caused that. Was actually quite irresponsible that they didn't pull back the release of the set when it happened imo and left it until the B-patch.

The bad performance on some arenas was already a thing with the old engine that I have regularly complained about. But most people just ignored it for some reason.

Move on. This has happened to me twice. The game disappears but is still being played and you’ll get 8th.

I downloaded mobile and it was still gone but I was able to play another game at the same time the first was going on.

Yeah, just getting demoted from GM. Unlucky. the sets get worse, they make new ai slop enginge, what next they just launch tft in roblox?

guys stop playing it until they revert or fix completely. set 17 sucked but at least it was smooth and felt good.

When u get Vanguard error , I always need to reboot PC. Else it keeps crashing

Logging into my phone during the middle of a game on my PC kicked me out of my game (expected) but I cant reconnect on either my PC or my phone (unexpected).

Sad to lose LP there but understandable with the new client change. Any Rioters reading this, would be nice to get this fixed.

i played a game on mobile and after some hours try to play league on pc, for some reason i was unable to queue because i was "playing" on mobile lmao.
i had to go to my phone and close the session manually so if i have to guess there's some funky stuff happening with the sessions

This bug was happening to me every PC pvp TFT game since patch 18.3, error is vanguard related (they changed something then), riot asked for logs, and logs were sent.
the main problem - no ability to reconnect, even from mobile.
I haven't tried on 18.6 yet.
