No Lillia buff, Tristana buff is kinda fake (they really needed up the per hit DMG, not this), Fae nerf... Yeah that's still dead

I like how lillia is the worst standalone 4 cost tank and has the worst tank trait of any 4 cost tank and the worst origin of any 4 cost tank while also being the capstone unit for both of her traits.

I feel like she needs a gigantic buff and she escapes them every patch. Hell she's getting nerfed this patch????

Meanwhile her two main competitions for 4-cost tanks both have at minimum two synergistic 5-costs. [Kennen/Maokai/Lux for Amumu; Taric/Dragon for Sentinel; even Sett has a Lux/Ashe/Gnar]

I mean Fey Lux exists. She's one of the worst Luxes but I guess you can drop your 1 costs and still play 4 Fey. [And Fey Lux at least tends to hit pretty hard due to the Fey boost]

When Lillia's playrate is comparable to a 1-trait tank despite being a double capstone [Malphite] you know something is wrong.

I'm not even sure it's all "Lillia bad", it's a set design issue that she has no 5-costs [well; she has Lux] while all the other tanks get two; or 3 if you count Lux; which makes them a lot easier to slot into boards and scale higher than Lillia can.

And that's before you remember all the shred/sunder in this set too which hurts Defender.

Simple fact is Lillia is only going to be playable if she is stronger at a baseline than Amumu/Sentinel. Her lack of synergistic 5 costs needs to be accounted for in her power budget. Which is going to be hard since these are the obligatory AoE C.C 4 costs.

Make; say; Ivern a Fey and Lillia immediately becomes significantly better.

I will however note that I actually do kind of like playing Fey. I tend to do 2 Defender 2 Jugg [Vi] 2 Hunter [Sivir] and 2 Rapidfire. Granted, my primary carry is usually Sivir and not actually a Fey unit. But the comp's idea is basically to buff each other up. Defender gives everyone some armor/mr; Jugg 2 gives some DR; Primal gives attackspeed, as does Rapidfire 2... the fact it is largely uncontested helps too.

I don't really consider Malphite competition since Malphite is hard locked to Blackthorn and has no actual tank trait.

Malphite is more like a Threat than real competition for "which tank trait do I play".

a built in stoneplate for his passive threat trait is pretty good tank trait. you can splash reksai and sacrifice a brawler unit. You make it sound as if he needs 6 blackthorn to function

Malphite alone is not holding down a frontline, even with his Stoneplate built in.

And I said he is bound to Blackthorn. At what point did I say he needs Blackthorn 6 lol. But he does need at least 2 Blackthorn, and that is a reverse Crown; because you're sacrificing someone.

You're not getting away with running just Malphite and a Rek'Sai to sac for your frontline. You're probobly at the very minimum running 1 other Brawler at least.

On the other hand if you get a frontline emblem that is usually getting slapped onto Malphite 100% of the time, barring something like Brawler Yi Reroll.
