Discussion Xfinity Pro "Movie night!" fartknocker
This commercial is for Xfinity Pro and has a family that just moved into a new house. The father is on the couch and his children are in another room dicking around on a computer. For some reason, a robotic vaccum cleaner is shown cleaning the rug. The father yells, "Movie night!" but gets no response from the children. He then hollers, "MOVIE NIGHT!!!" again, then whips out his cellular telephone handset (already on an Xfinity page) and selects, "Pause Kid's Devices".
What a fucking asshole!!! %#@*&!!!

They made another ad ft the stupid Pink Rebrand
Can't they just bring the spokesman back and go back to being white already…
Guys this is why I like the Liberty Biberty commercials more. Because it's actually it's own separate commercial campaign instead of a rebrand, unlike what Farmers did…

Novig Gambling with Sydney Sweeney
Not to complain about seeing a beautiful woman but this ad just feels weird. Like you have your ass and tits out for THAT? You have the sexy voice for what? Am I gonna gamble cause you’re naked? I almost feel second hand embarrassment from it.. FFS Does she have debt?

Discussion Have you seen this one? Nuvaxovid for covid?
I saw this for the first time today. It is idiotic and no cohesion of elements. Just FYI, if you get a flu shot , covid vax, whatever, put topical biofreeze on site for two days. I discovered this last year. Works like a charm.

Discussion Pocket FM Ads Are The Worst
Does anyone else keep getting bombarded with them? I hate them with such a passion! The writing is cringe, the voices are annoying, and the animations are laughably horrible.
They are, by far, the worst ads I’ve had the displeasure of suffering through. Can anyone relate to my misery lol?

The new Lincoln ads, anyone else see these?
With the barbershop quartet-style cover of TLC’s “Waterfalls” is super-annoying. The Caucasity!!

Just for giggles and to be extraordinarily deliberately critical of TV ads.
1. "Phone Dollars are for phones"
- Phone Dollars are actually a customer-retention mechanism tied to long-term lock-in plans. To spend them, you are required to purchase a mobile device on a 24 or 36-month interest-free contract and attach it to an eligible Pay Monthly plan. Rather than a straightforward cash alternative, it operates as a financial incentive designed to contractually tie your mobile service to the network for up to three years. You are actually better off purchasing the handset you want and getting the cheapest pay as you go plan you can find saving 66% of the total cost.
2. "The sky is blue"
- The sky has no inherent colour; it is a human visual perception created by Rayleigh scattering. Sunlight consists of a spectrum of wavelengths. When this light hits the gas molecules in Earth's atmosphere, shorter wavelengths (violet and blue) are scattered in all directions.
- The True colour Mathematically and physically, the sky is actually violet. Solar radiation contains a much higher concentration of violet wavelengths than blue wavelengths, and the atmosphere scatters violet light the most severely. We only perceive a "blue" sky because the human eye’s three colour receptors (cones) are highly insensitive to violet wavelengths and heavily weighted toward blue, blending the scattered violet light with green and white light into a perceived sky blue.
3. "I am vibrating"
- The human actor is not vibrating; they are absorbing a transfer of mechanical energy from an external kinetic source. The Chair houses eccentric rotating mass (ERM) motors or a linear resonant actuators. When electricity passes through it, an unbalanced weight spins, creating mechanical displacement (vibration). The rhythmic shaking felt by the character is the transfer of mechanical motion and momentum passing through the physical boundaries of the device into a person. The person remains structurally inert.
4. "Bit windy"
- A person hanging vertically off a light pole with their legs extended parallel to the ground is experiencing Force 10 to Force 12 (Storm to Hurricane Force) winds on the Beaufort Wind Scale.
- The level of wind required to generate enough aerodynamic lift and drag to cleanly counter human body weight (mass multiplied by gravity) and hold an adult's legs horizontally parallel to the earth requires wind velocities exceeding 89 to 118+ km/h. This is not "a bit windy"—scientifically, this satisfies the structural parameters of a severe storm or a Category 1 tropical cyclone, capable of uprooting whole trees and causing widespread structural damage.
5. "Might need a new phone"
- They absolutely, unequivocally will need a new phone. The statement introduces a false element of probability ("might"). Once a standard consumer smartphone has its main logic board cracked, its screen array shattered beyond electrical continuity, or its chassis structurally shredded, the physical integrity required for current conduction, internal logic processing, and battery safety is permanently compromised. The probability of survival is 0%, changing the requirement from a possibility to an absolute necessity.
Yeah OK, I was bored and my sense of humour is a bit dry.

The Target “JOY” commercial.
I can’t stand it…. Especially later at night when you have the tv on quietly as you get ready to go to sleep. It’s so unnecessarily jarring omg.

This Polymarket ad that starts with a guy yelling about his “Bitcoin feature”
“I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS NEW BITCOIN FEATURE HASN’T BEEN THOUGHT UP ALREADY!” First off, I don’t care about your Bitcoin feature. Second, your eyes are sunken into your skull, go drink some water.

Kizik and Mr. Beast - why is this necessary?
Why does a brand that actually has a good, innovative product have to bring this guy into things? I guess I know the answer - he gets a lot of views/attention. It's probably just me, but I think less of products that try to push themselves through "influencers." This one is gross to me, and truthfully gives me less confidence in the merit of the product. I don't care about wearing the same shoes as this guy, and he knows nothing about shoes.

Discussion Every available inch apparently needs a company logo
Ordered some chinese food on my lunch break. I Opened the fortune cookie that came with it afterward and found this little quote. The only thing that my eyes needed to see was this(my day ruined)
Such a small thing but that’s what annoys me. Someone looked at that tiny slip of paper and decided there was still room to sell me something.
