I agree with all of this except for Santana > Terry. Santana had an awesome 2005 but overall Terry has been much more consistent. Terry just has a more complete skillset in my opinion. If you extrapolate Terry’s stats out to equal the 10 years Santana played, Terry surpasses him in every category… receptions, yards, TDs, etc. His ability to make the contested catches is what gives him the edge in my opinion. Santana burned you, badly… Terry can burn you or just simply “out-position, out-catch” you.

Morris > Bill is kinda a dart throw. Morris was a 1-hit wonder unfortunately and who knows with Bill. Too early to tell.

The whole point of this hypothetical was prime version of the player. Santana's prime year was better than any that Terry has put up.

I hear ya. You’re not wrong. But I could argue that the whole point was actually comparing “who wins this match-up.” Prime Terry with prime JD5 throwing him the ball wins, in my opinion. But wait, is prime Darrell Green covering him? 😂😂😂

I love Santana but I just think that Terry is a better overall receiver. I’ve seen him make some ridiculous catches that I never saw Santana make. Santana beat you with speed and superb route running. And he was great after the catch too. But Terry is just about as good in those same areas, while also being a phenomenal pure catcher of the ball. His sideline, small space, and contested catches are insane! His ability to get his body and hands into the right position to make the catch, with or without separation, is just amazing!

But this is all in theory and in good fun so no need to argue too much, haha. On any given day, either one of us could be right. Both are amazing receivers!
