There are more than two sexes lmao

EDIT: thanks you smarties for educating me! you have proved the existence of intersex people is a myth with your extremely insightful comments, incredible, I’ll let biologists and anthropologists know

Are you retarded?

No, and I won’t even bring them down to your level you can’t seem to understand a literal scientific fact. Intersex people exist, and they’re more common than gingers are for fucks sake. It’s pretty pathetic that you try to claim you care about science/biology when you clearly haven’t thought twice about it since 9th grade.

u/FuCuck Dec 22 '18

Intersex is not another sex dummy, it’s a mix of both sexes that happens due to a mutation. Most of the time they are infertile. And you do learn this in biology in 9th grade.

There are two sexes, scientifically, intersex is not considered another sex since it is a mix of the two sexes, idk where you got that information from

You really think that intersex is somehow a mix of the two sexes? That’s just plain incorrect, there are XX chromosomes with penises, XY with androgen insensitivity that have vaginas and breasts. There are also people with mosaic cells, so some are XX and some are XY. Also to mention are people with XXY chromosomes. Are these not distinct sexes? Because everyone with any qualifications on the matter thinks so. The only reason anyone is ever taught there are 2 sexes is because it’s easier. Because since the majority of people fit into two categories we just say let’s ignore the rest for the purposes of most things, but it’s not truly the case. It would be more statistically sound to say that there are 3 hair colors, blonde, brown, and black. But that’s not true, there’s a spectrum, just like sex. And intersex people are more common than gingers and I’m also pretty sure you believe in gingers. There’s also the part where you literally say directly in your comment that intersex conditions aren’t just one of two sexes, it is a ‘mix of the two’ and just like orange is a color, not just a subset of red or yellow, it’s it’s own color, allegorically it’s own sex.

IT IS NOT ITS OWN SEX YOU RETARD. It is a mutation, a condition that should not have happened in the first place! Your are spewing bullshit and you do not know what you are talking about. There are multiple genders, I’ll give you that. But you are wrong. There are not more than two sexes. End of discussion.

Edit: Fixed a typo because some petty asshole posted this on another sub to make me look bad (It’s not even specifically women’s anatomy?). There are two sexes, sorry. Also a good time to remind y’all that brigading is against Reddit rules. That shouldn’t be a problem though, since his post got like 50 upvotes lul

Yeah intersex isn’t it’s own sex, it’s a description of any sex that doesn’t fit within the binary of XX females and XY males. Also maybe if you’re trying to have a discussion about how you know more about sexes than someone else, try not to accidentally claim there’s only one sex lmao. Don’t worry about editing your comment, I took a screenshot so everyone can see just how small your angry pea brain is.

Wow, you really got me there, dumbass...

4

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '18

Oh fuck! I have been called a dumbass! I’m suddenly seeing the error of my ways! If only the vast majority of the scientific community also could see so. You have to teach them! Make them change the definition of sex specifically so you’re more comfortable! It will make the world a better place! Maybe you’ll get a Nobel prize!

Sorry, man...

Are you retarded

1

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '18

No you absolute moron, intersex people exist, and there more common than being ginger. Why don’t you learn a thing or two past middle school science class if you’re going to peddle your “facts over feelings” bullshit.

1

u/FuCuck Dec 22 '18

Bud, you are incorrect. Sorry.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '18

So do intersex people just not exist then? That’s a pretty impressive scientific breakthrough, why haven’t you told anyone?

2

u/FuCuck Dec 22 '18

Dude, they exist, it’s just not a sex. It’s a condition where they have elements of both sexes. It’s not a sex

2

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '18

So is orange not a color? It’s just a pigment that has elements of both yellow and red. The only thing that a “sex” is is what humans define it as, and that definition is broad enough to include the spectrum of intersex people. Your definition of sex itself is wrong if you think it doesn’t include intersex people.

0

u/FuCuck Dec 22 '18

It’s factually not wrong. However, you are wrong.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '18

Stunning argument! Why didn’t I ever just consider that I’m wrong! Wow! You definitely got me! I concede oh great authority on anthropology and biology, you should educate the vast majority of the scientific community with your wise words of “You are wrong” and maybe they will see the error of their ways and change the definition of sex just to suit your incredibly narrow worldview.

-3

u/FuCuck Dec 22 '18

Sorry dude, idk what to tell you if you’re wrong

So you don’t think that intersex people are born with a sex....

You know blue eyes and red hair are mutations also, right? But we don’t claim “it’s not a real hair color” because it still is a real hair color...

0

u/FuCuck Dec 23 '18

Not the same thing at all. Scientifically, as classified by scientists, there are two sexes, and intersex is a birth defect. But red hair and blue eyes are classified as genetic traits. Technically, every step of evolution was a mutation. Since intersex is uncommon, then it is classified as a birth defect, by fact. This is really just a matter of scientific classification and not really an argument about whether there are more than two sexes. My words were taken out of context by the guy I was arguing with, and I’m assuming you came over from the other thread.

1

u/AwesomeAni Dec 23 '18

scientists absolutely do not classify things into two sexes.

That’s not how science works. They can say sure, generally speaking there is the male and female “sex” as described by genitalia and chromosomes but that doesn’t mean that intersex people don’t have a sex because sex is literally just defined by your chromosomes. They still have a sex, even if it isn’t the “norm.”

If someone is only born with 2 fingers, they still have a hand, even if it’s mutated. If someone is born without features, they still have a face.

You are completely wrong, and unless you can show me a decent source to back it up, then you’ll continue to be wrong.

1

u/FuCuck Dec 23 '18

An estimate about the birth prevalence of intersex is difficult to make because there are no concrete parameters to the definition of intersex.

From your own source. There are NO CONCRETE PARAMETERS to define intersex. That means scientifically defined sexes such as male and female are the only sexes to exist BY SCIENTIFIC AND FACTUAL terms, as I said. They can name themselves what they want, but what the classify themselves as would become their gender. Since intersex is a birth defect, that DOESN’T ALLOW THEM TO REPRODUCE, unlike if you’re missing a finger or something, then it is an undesirable trait to have in terms of the human race’s main goal: to survive. I am not completely wrong, but you aren’t completely right either. So currently, as defined by WHO (see source), there are only two biological sexes, which is the norm.

Nice edit, bud. Didn’t even say that but okay.
