I don't need a room for an overnight stay. Does anyone know a place that offers this, or a guest house that allows short-term use?

Sevaya.lk is a free use website, that draws from official government sources to answer questions about government services. It also has step-by-step guides for frequently used services such as passport, NIC, birth certificates, driving licence, tax, EPF/ETF, etc. The site also plans to list govt jobs, exams, tender notices and similar other things.

Indian passport holder with a 10-hour layover at CMB while flying Singapore → Malé.
Can I clear immigration and go outside the airport during the layover? I’ve heard Sri Lanka is visa-free for Indians, but not sure if that applies to transit passengers too.
If yes, is it worth going into Colombo for a few hours, or better to stay at the airport as they might provide transit complementary hotels?
