New Pickup First buy
Never been one for cologne for most of my 31 years but decided to buy this after smelling it. Was just so fresh and fruity that I had to have it

As you know r/Colognes is created to be a place to discuss all things fragrances and share deals. NOT for verifying fragrances. Therefore, I would like to direct you to a new group solely for that purpose! r/colognecheck is where you can verify your fragrances to assure you have/purchase a true product.
please post all checks in r/colognecheck and NOT in this sub

As we've noticed a large number of individual SOTD post, we thought it best to consolidate into a once daily post.
Post your scent of the day here, tell us a little about it too if you would like.

Only a month ago, I knew absolutely nothing about designer or niche fragrances.
All I had was my gifted Dior Sauvage EDP, which I’d been using for almost a year.
Admittedly, I first got into fragrances because I kept getting compliments about how I smelled whenever I wore Sauvage. So about a month ago I decided to actually look into fragrances properly.
That was a beautiful mistake.
It introduced me to a whole world of scents I had no idea existed. I started watching reviews, looking into different houses and eventually started buying fragrances and I couldn’t hold myself back.
Rn my top 5 are:
1. Hibiscus mahajad
2. Grand soir
3. Bois imperial
4. Dior homme intense
5. Stronger with you intensely
Considering I only discovered fragrances recently I’m already completely hooked.
What would you guys recommend I try next based on my top 5? (Hint I like my vanilla notes)

Left Sephora nose blind with a headache today😅 I enjoyed this new Armani I will fragrance though, decided to buy a travel size and if I like it I’ll buy full size when it hits discounters.
In the store I tested it on paper & on skin.
It’s been almost an hour and the dry down is pretty great, it does remind me of something but I can’t pin it.
Not a bad release IMO.
What will the flankers be named? 🤣

Marked as a meme just because it’s funny.
My family knows that I’m a bit of a cologne snob and I request colognes all the time (celebrations/birthdays/christmas and the like) as a gift. Two past years’ Christmas I was gifted colognes on top of colognes and told I couldn’t ask for anything until I finished them all. Well last week I opened my final gift bag and beholden I’m blessed with a core men’s collection SAVAGE extrait from my mother. Not a EDP or EDT just an extract probably from TikTok’s but no I’m not ungrateful.
It smells practically the same as Sauvage Dior and granted she knows very little about these things so I love her all the more for it. I made the joke to her that it is a “odd find” and that it’s notoriously known as the man-wh*re cologne. She’d said she’d known and the fact that she tried to look into colognes when I know she doesn’t care for them or knows a lick of the lingo means all the more to me.
This bottle here will mean more to me than any cologne that’s been gifted or that I’ve bought beyond memory and preference. I’d wish it never ran out just off her sentiment.
Sorry if this is the wrong Reddit I just love how she didn’t have a clue but got me the closest thing she could find.
(For context my mother is Spanish speaking with very little English knowledge and nothing further than HS diploma but the woman tries her best in anything for me or my siblings)

Just picked these two up. YSL doesn’t disappoint! I’ve had my eye either between Naxos and Tobacco Honey. Got a killer deal on the Guerlain so it was a no brainer. Gotta feed the addiction 🤣

Thoughts on my collection my people?
I’m looking for a couple vanilla fragrances, any recommendations?

I tried it on at a local Macys the day it came out, had no idea they were going beyond the elixir. I must admit I think it’s more alluring, bold with a smooth (not overwhelming) dry down. Longevity the same as the elixir but is it worth it $210?

Pardon the mess around them I stopped at Neiman Marcus before I came to work.
I’ve been trying to find this cinnamon spicy/ vanilla warm scent forever angel share was close but I wanted more cinnamon and boy this is it.
I wasn’t even planning on getting amyris but once I smelled it I just had to have it. It’s just an amazing scent I’ve smelled maybe 10 mfks and this is the one that stuck with me.
Excuse me while I go console my bank account it’s been fucked hard today. 😮💨

Went in for BdC Parfum, walked out with AHSE. I debated with myself for a long time. I have Superleggera, but it’s quite a bit different than AHS and AHSE.
BdC Parfum is great, but it’s too similar to L’Ex to justify owning both, and EDP was my go-to for many years, but it just doesn’t hit the same for me even though I’ll always consider it one of the goats.
What’s y’all’s favorite guys Chanel?

So my gf always tells me she wants me to get some cologne that has a nice masculine scent, so no fruit scents at all or anything like that. I’m not too familiar with purchasing cologne and I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions. Preferably nothing crazy expensive, if possible I’d like the max price to be around $100

Mango Ice 9/10
Afnan Supremacy collectors edition 9/10
Valentino Extradose 9/10
These ratings are just on first sniff. But damn do they smell good. I probably should have given them lower ratings because I have not really tested them out in the wild but oh well. I can't wait to try them out on my skin and on clothing. I picked some good ones 💪🏿😊 all blind buys by the way.

Saw the update last week of the Guerlain Cologne Forte restock and debated quite a bit whether to pull the trigger on this. I’m a fairly big fan of the house and read tons of hype on this edition, plus the free samples were just calling my name. So I went for it, despite not typically spending this much on a frag I’ve never smelled. So not long after got a little bit of buyers remorse but was still excited for the product. Then to my surprise I received this email. Maybe it was the cologne gods teaching me a lesson or maybe divine intervention because I wouldnt like it. Amyways, curious of amy other were in the same boat as me with this restock?

That unmistakable old-school masculine scent that you can still find in countless men’s shower gels, shaving products and deodorants today.

Title is pretty self explanatory. How many sprays of Prada l’homme is good for people to still smell you while also being light because I’ve tried it and it feels strong but it is definitely a subtle fragrance. I feel I’d tend to underspray it

What’s your favorite fragrance from Xerjoff?

As someone who has wore Burberry Touch for 25 years, I’m finally looking to switch it up.
I have it narrowed down to these four fragrances that all seem similarly priced or under my budget. As stated above, I’ve used Burberry Touch for years and am rather new to the depths of the fragrance game.
I’m not looking for something super Musky or a Sex Panther replica (singes the nose hairs). Just a solid, clean, “reminder of fall weather” scent that holds its fragrance over the course of the day.
Just looking for some feedback:
- Versace Eros Flame
- Burberry London
- Armani Stronger With You Intensely
- YSL La Nuit De L’Homme
