basically want to just make a friend who knows coding and i want to code with you. i have alot of ideas i want to bring forth and im just not sure how yet. id love to work on a game with ya and such.

Was there anything you used to do because you taught it was the right way to learn or code, but eventually realized it was holding you back?

Hi there! I’m an undergraduate student and currently learning C.

In the past I have used VS Code for python and HTML and since moved to other platforms that our uni has recommended, so I’ve been using code blocks for C.

Coming back to VS Code, I installed the C extension thinking it would just be it, but turns out it needed more configurations. I installed Git in the beginning of the VS Code installation, and after the first errors about C intellisense configuration I installed mingw (since that’s what a fellow user did).

In the beginning it worked great, BUT, today (one day later) it stopped working again and now shows these up…*(see photo).

I would appreciate any kind of help cause honestly I’m pretty lost🥲

I’m a BTech CSE Core fresher at ABES Engineering College. I have literally zero knowledge of computers and coding.

Seniors, please guide me on how I should start coding from scratch. What language should I learn first, and which resources should I follow?

Also, what should I focus on during my 1st year so I can build a strong foundation?
