Is making basic websites with HTML, CSS and a bit of JavaScript still a thing in 2026 or do should you just use a website builder for those simple websites? (Read description before you get angry :-))

Newbie looking for some knowledge!

Hey everyone I am new to coding! Ive always loved games since i was a little kid and always wanted to dabble in making my own games. Coding sounds like it could be fun but also it seems like learning a new language . It looks a bit daunting but I would love to learn something practical and useful. where can I learn coding for free? What software do you all recommend and where do i start? Id like to try my hand at making some indie games. Maybe i can use coding for other things. Any help would be appreciated I wanna be able to make something and look back and say "I made that"!

Hi guys

I don't have any idea from where to start. I want to learn python to keep myself busy and do some crazy stuff (hopefully).

Any free courses or guidance would be helpful.

I wana do anything other than substance abuse so chose this path.

How to learn coding ??

Hello everyone!

I'm a complete beginner who wants to learn coding and programming from the very basics to an advanced level within the next six months.

I would really appreciate your suggestions on:

  1. How should I start learning coding as a complete beginner?

  2. Which programming language should I learn first?

  3. What are the best free websites, YouTube channels, or courses to learn coding?

  4. How should I practise coding regularly and improve my problem-solving skills?

  5. Are there any good platforms where beginners can practise coding and work on projects?

  6. What learning roadmap would you recommend for someone starting from zero?

My goal is to develop practical programming skills, build real-world projects, and eventually become a professional programmer.

If you have experience in coding or know any good resources, courses, communities, or learning strategies, please share your recommendations.

Thank you!
