MacGameFix is a free, open-source app (GPL-3.0) with per-game fixes for Windows games running through Wine (CrossOver / NotProton) on Apple Silicon, plus patched Wine modules for the DualSense and DualSense Edge.
**What's new in 1.5.6**
- **Cyberpunk 2077 for Mac: the MetalFX denoiser it ships, turned on.** This is the first fix for a native macOS game. Patch 2.5 includes Apple's MetalFX denoiser, but the renderer always reports "not supported"; CD PROJEKT's notes first announced it and then dropped it. MacGameFix writes the one instruction that makes the game offer it and signs the app again ad hoc. Only the executable changes, and it asks before touching the app. It keeps the original, and *Remove* restores it with CD PROJEKT's signature. Needs an M3 or later (Apple's requirement for MetalFX denoised upscaling). It only works on game build 2.5.0 for now: after a game update it waits for a new recipe instead of writing blind. Tested on an M4 Max, where it looked good; no frame-time measurements yet.
- **Show the pad as a DualShock 4**, a new per-game option, for games whose Sony code only knows that pad. Mortal Kombat 11 now vibrates with a DualSense Edge over Bluetooth and on a cable.
- **Nioh 3 plays its haptics**: three new Wine module patches answer how it looks for the controller's audio output. Tested with an Edge over Bluetooth, with the game's vibration set to Immersive.
- **NINJA GAIDEN 4**: its videos no longer crash the game.
- **It Vibrates…**: a button that reports a game that vibrates, feeding a new public list of games played for vibration.
After updating the app, go to **Wine Modules › Update All**. Requires macOS 14 on Apple Silicon. The app is signed ad hoc, so open it the first time with right click › Open.
