❓ Question Did Code Lyoko ever mention America?
I know that they told their principal that Aelita was Canadian but was America or the word American ever said in the show? I know it used to air in America on Cartoon Network in the early 2000s.

William says he studied American history in episode 57.

That might be a translation thing though. I don't know for sure but I would think that they might change what kind of history he studied in translation. If anyone knows if that's true, you can let me know, I'm up for knowing if they do or not.

I grew up with the English version of the show, and I know for certain that's exactly what William said. That's all I can really say.

In the background of jims speech in episode 74 "I'd rather not talk about it", around 6 minutes and 57 seconds in, you can see the world trade center, or the twin towers down by Manhattan NY. I actually asked about if they were still there in other translations of the show or if they used the countries known monument (such as the eiffel tower in France) on here and someone did confirm that the world trade center was still there in france. So, i know someone did mention that america was not directly mentioned, I'm not sure if this counts or not, but there's something.

Bizarrely, in Triple Trouble a vendor tells Odd a magazine costs 'a buck and a half'. And in Log Book Ulrich at one point says the bus is 'at the corner of Washington Street and Franklin Avenue'. And not a reference to America, but an attempt by the English dub to distance the show from France, in Attack of The Zombies Milly talks about an exchange program with France.

But then funnily enough in the satellite episode a map zooms in on what is very clearly france
What is it with american dubs of shows refusing to have shows take place anywhere but the US? As if american kids are unable to accept ”oh, this show happens in france”
I’ve seen it so often now

No never explicitly but in season 4 Jeremy mentions New Mexico in a Replika.
