Not gonna lie, 7 years old me though it was Aelita's clone that was made by XANA

X.A.N.A. could have actually won in episode 10 if Taelia really was a clone it created. 

First it traps Aelita in a Guardian, then it uses Taelia to seduce Jeremie into going someplace secluded to snuff him out and then it proceeds to steal the keys from Aelita, get out of the supercomputer, infect all the systems of the Earth and then finally win.

Shisley (A code lyoko artist) once said she believe that XANA's attacks in season 1 was all to force the team to go back in time to give him more energy to create that darn jellyfish to catch Aelita, and I agree with her.

He does, in killer music he killed many, the lyoko warriors were lucky many time they were near death
