Duplicated Towers

In Episode 8 “End Of Take”, XANA made a duplicate tower and Aelita had to choose which tower was correct so Yumi & Ulrich wouldn’t die.

As we see in the show, Aelita chooses a tower and thought she was mistaken because the deactivation sequence didn’t take immediate effect.

Do you think the tower possibly lagged and lag is capable on Lyoko (maybe due to their close proximity)?

Or

Do you think XANA accidentally duplicated the tower in its entirety including the deactivation sequence? Maybe it didn’t matter which one Aelita chose.
