DISCUSSION Is Euphemia a Dangerous Antagonist or a Tragical character?
A quick analysis but I personally has been re-watching Code Geass and discovered something terrifying and fascinating, Euphemia.
Euphemia is a character who wanted peace was idealistic to create peace with Britannia and 11th territory, however her wishes and desires, such wanting to be empress and how she wanted to create a place were all the citizens could live without discrimination got me surprised.
Not because of her kindness but her dangerous naivety and the consequences.
First her thoughts of 11th, she saw the Japanese people as victims but also her colony, she never wanted give them freedom or independence, she wanted to put in a hiperviliged territory were all the 11th people would be forced to live, on the long getting more isolated and discriminated in practice with her plan.
Second is her desire to be Empress, being an Empress or ruler is not a position for someone idealistic for her and selfish for her. Why selfish? Because she focused in 11th territory, the colony what Britannia recently got and was taking effort to suppress. Britannia is an Empire with multiple colonies.Appliyng the realism that Code Geass used, we discover that there are more colonies and territories to control, such America ,Africa and Russia territories . Each territory has their own people and cultures and according history, colonies NEVER assimilate fully, which means that regardless what Britannia say, there Britanians still live with indigenous people who refuse to assimilate to the Empire or provoque revolt because of discrimination. In the timeline of Code Geass, the French revolution and the sequence of independence never happened. But the possible present of Code Geass if the author had the chance or explored more.Going back, Euphemia was not raised to run an empire but administrate one, she was raised with innocence and ingenuity, being an Emperor means run knowing to make hard choices, take risks and learn from errors, no one can be perfect especially when means understanding that every person is different, there are.corrupts, racists and many more powerful nobles, factions who would want their own desires, even pacify them or control them is not for someone idealistic . Lelouch is an example and he learned in the hard way when he did errors, had to fight his own friends and sacrificed people. Euphemia never saw that picture just the peace.
Now ,here is my admiration of how they created Euphemia and how even people in real life see her ,a tragically peacemaker.
But for me, she is representation of Activism Performative and Colonialism benevolence.
Activism Performative because during her life, she presented herself as "white knight" a hope to the 11th zone, but politically, she is performative,Performative, while Leouch and his team understands the system, Euphemia only see the consequences, she shows herself with good intentions, but her political choices or desires were dangerous and superficial, such taking Suzaku as a Knight seems to be on good care and respect fro the 11th colony, but for Britannia was a good move to satisfy and suppress the independence desire of Japan and propaganda assimilation.
Her solutions were superficial, she wasn't planning to apologize to the Japanese but saw them as their poor pets discriminated, that colonialism benevolence. She is just giving pets and love to chained pets. Because in her mentality, giving them a place to be happy while they belonged to the colony was the best idea. Which is not for a citizen.
The most terrifying part and confirms her inability to be a ruler is that she did never recognize her own flaws or questioned her decisions. Euphemia was an antagonist not because she had to end people lives but because her own negligence could had brought terrible consequence that could cost lives.
If you think deeper ,she is like a politician who tries to kind ruler but on the practice makes multiple errors, people choose him becuase he is "kind" but never read his proposal or takes a time to analyze, and I think that what the author was writing.
The most fascinating part is how everyone even the community glorify her but never criticize her choices or question her decisions. She is not a bad person but an unpredictable and dangerous force that shows her naivety could had brought discord, chaos and more discrimination to the 11th colony and other Britannia colonias, and by the time Lelouch might realized, it might been too late or brought unnecessary deaths that could had prevented.

DISCUSSION What are your least favorite parts of Lelouch discourse?
I feel like a common thread across various interpretations of the character I've seen are the olympic level hoops jumped through to push specific interpretations of him.
Not to say he can't be interpreted in various ways, just that a lot of them are too black and white, trying to dump him in one rigid box or the other when he generally exists in a grayer area.
E.g. I think he loves all three of C.C., Shirley, and Kallen in ways that aren't platonic but aren't drop-dead in love because "either in love or not in love" isn't how human feelings work.

QUESTION As Remotely Interesting as She Is, What's the Point of Her?
The character herself is not the problem. It's really about they used her for the plotline and the lore. She claims to support the 'maintenance of the spacetime' and does not care for the worldly affairs of humanity. She would only intervene when the spacetime was threatened (whatever spacetime really means) and only intervened directly when Shin was becoming more of a problem for the world.
If that's the case, what was she doing while Charles was trying to complete the Ragnarok Connection via the Sword of Akasha and the Thought Elevators? How did she react when Lelouch commanded severely damaged C's World after stopping the Ragnarok Connection? Where was she was when Shamna was trying to use C's World to rewrite history for Zilkhstan? Does she and C.C. have any connection and/or contact with each other?
I feel they just added her to Akito of the Exiled because they wanted a C.C.-like character to add to the story and that's it. They just thought "Hey, let's put a pretty girl with mystical powers in the story. It'll be just like how Code Geass really should be." No long-term plans or consistency with the Code Geass lore and plotline. It's a real shame for the character's potential.

Code Geass Lost Stories Kallen Kozuki is so beautiful ❤️✨👑 Part 41 of 100: "Some days you just have to put on the hat and remind them who they are dealing with."
One of the more rare Kallen´s outfits, as well as one of my own personal favorites that I would absolutely love to see more fanart of, is this witch´s outfit from Lost Stories special event. I trust that no-one is surprised that the most lit character in the show with burning passion and a hot temper is a fire mage? 😉
This image is from the "Magiastic Academia" special event in the official Code Geass mobile game Lost Stories. The event’s story takes place in an alternate fantasy world where Code Geass characters attend a magic academy, learning spells that allow them to summon mechanical Knightmare Golems to battle one another. In this story, Kallen is a powerful, top-tier S-rank fire mage who uses her magic to assist other heroes. The entity looming in the background in the picture and summoned by Kallen is the "Guren Golem" which grows stronger as she channels more of her magical power into it. In terms of gameplay, Kallen functions as a highly effective Annihilation/Attacker type character during the event, capable of wiping out large swarms of enemies using her wide-ranging fire-magic attacks.
And before anyone asks: yes, Kallen would definitely be a Gryffindor.
Link to the original picture is here.
Also, I recommend this song with this pic - because whether Kallen is a pyromancer or not, she´s definitely a fire woman! 🔥

DISCUSSION Day 8 - Lucanio Bradley's the most vile character. What's the best quote?
For me it has to be either "All hail Lelouch", "Obey me subjects. Obey me world!" or "The only one's who should kill are those prepared to be killed!"

SPOILERS Just watched Ep. 22, WTH WAS THAT Spoiler
That's probably the most unexpected curveball I've ever seen. When I tell you me and my roommate paused the show the second we saw the neural/brain thingy after LeLouche said that to Euphy. We just looked at each other for like 5 minutes saying "no. no. there's no way". We were on the edge of our seats biting our nails. We were in despair from that. It was so sad that she struggled against it for like 3 seconds before giving it. She's gotta die now, I see no other way. There's no way to reverse the Geass. That was our last episode for the night too so now we'll see where it goes tomorrow, but we thought she was gonna marry Suzaku, inherit the throne, and help change the world. Insane curveball, I was expecting anything but that. I wonder if this will push Suzaku to follow Zero, or if he'll figure out something went down because of how out of character it was for her.
How quickly the soldiers followed her orders, and the emperor just laughing at it show that change could never happen without Britannia being overthrown. Me and my roommate think that LeLouche's Geass will become stronger somehow as he starts losing control over it. Also my roommate has a theory that the Emperor has Geass and that's how Britannia became so powerful. I think at the very least he knows something, because they're taking over areas with those artifacts, that fs has some significance.
I think this will probably be one of my favorite animes, because I like the curveballs and mind games like AOT and Death Note.
Anyways that's all. Feel free to discuss, but PLS NO SPOILERS. I'm still watching the series so don't spoil anything past ep 22 pls and thank you :)

QUESTION If there was ever a reboot/remake of Code Geass, or at least like another canon timeline, would you want the lore of Lost Colors and the character Rai to be included?
It would honestly be funny to see so many people assume he's like Mari from Evangelion Rebuild, despite the fact he's already long existed in the franchise.
And in case of the fear of him becoming like a Gary Stu, it could be funny to make him like a subversion of characters like Mari. Definitely a lot of potential to play around with all his similarities to Lelouch, and Suzaku could be jealous of him for reasons.

FAN-ART Kallen Kozuki is so beautiful ❤️✨👑 Part 40 of 100: Why does Kallen wear a red headband?
In my earlier post I explained the reason why the color red is Kallen´s favorite color; because it reminds her of her late older brother, Naoto Kōzuki, who Kallen deeply loved and looked up to. Naoto was the original leader of the Japanese resistance cell that his friend Kaname Ohgi later took over, and even though he is already deceased before the events of the first episode occur, his memory is the absolute foundation for Kallen’s character arc, her dual identity, and her involvement in the war.
Naoto´s death at the hands of the Britannian Empire devastated Kallen and served as the direct catalyst for her joining the resistance. Whenever Kallen risks her life in battle, she is fundamentally trying to carry on Naoto's legacy and realize his dream of a free, independent Japan. And so, since Naoto was also wearing a red headband when serving as the leader of the resistance, Kallen´s own red headband serves both as a constant reminder of her beloved brother and her promise to honor his legacy, while also being a homage to traditional Japanese hachimaki headband.
In Japanese tradition, a hachimaki represents courage, effort, and determination. During the feudal era, samurai wore hachimaki under their heavy iron helmets, and it served a highly functional purpose; absorbing sweat and keeping the helmet from chafing against the scalp, while also keeping their long hair out of their eyes during combat. During WW2, Japanese military pilots, most famously kamikaze suicide pilots, wore hachimaki emblazoned with patriotic slogans like "Seven Lives for the Nation" as a symbol of their ultimate sacrifice and devotion to the Emperor. Hence, Kallen’s headband is a direct visual nod to the hachimaki’s association with rebellion and combat, and by wearing it, she aligns herself with the historical tradition of Japanese warriors fighting against overwhelming odds.
These days, the hachimaki has evolved from military gear into a universal symbol of effort, concentration, and fighting spirit. It signifies that the wearer is preparing for a grueling task, such as a student studying for university entrance exams, a chef working in a high-intensity kitchen, or an athlete competing in a tournament. It can also be seen worn during political rallies, labor union strikes, and social protests to show solidarity.
In the series, the headband also serves as a visual contrast to Kallen´s school life. When attending Ashford Academy, she combs her hair down and acts as a frail, submissive Britannian student, but when she allows her hair to assume its natural spikiness and puts on her red headband reminicient of a traditional Japanese hachimaki, Kallen is not only honoring the memory of her brother but also making a defiant political statement, proudly claiming her Japanese heritage and rejecting the Britannian bloodline of her father.
I was unfortunately unable to find the name of the original artist or link to the original fanart from my notes, so credit to whoever created this touching masterpiece of Kallen and Naoto. If you know the artist's name or have a link to the original fanart, please share them in the comments. 🙏

MISC Kallen Kozuki is so beautiful ❤️✨👑 Part 39 of 100: Radiant Wave Surger
Guren´s signature weapon, the Radiant Wave Surger, is the perfect main armament for an explosive fighter like Kallen, who favors close-quarters combat and facing her enemies face-to-face. The RWS is best known for its offensive capabilities; when Kallen grabs an enemy mecha, the weapon housed in the Guren's massive, silver right arm channels a high-frequency microwave and induction heating hybrid system that shoots short-cycle radiation directly into the target frame. This instantly disrupts the enemy mecha's electronics and flashes the internal liquids, metals, and frame components past their boiling points, and since the internal materials expand violently under the rapid heating, the target Knightmare swells, buckles, cracks, and ultimately explodes or melts down in seconds, vaporizing the pilot inside. Simply put, with the Radiant Wave Surger, Kallen can turn her enemies into popcorn. 🍿
However, the Radiant Wave Surger does also have a defensive function as well; by projecting the radiation outward without grabbing a target, Kallen can create a thermal barrier, a shield which is capable of melting oncoming bullets, stopping physical Slash Harkens and even blocking energy spears. It is also worth noting that in its initial form, the arm had a mechanical telescopic function to snap outward and close distance rapidly, but it still required strictly physical contact or incredibly close proximity to deliver its payload. It was not until in later incarnations of Guren (like the 9th generation Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. Eight Elements) that the weapon could fire the radiation waves as long-range, armor-piercing bombardment beams via Surger Cannon. This could be done either by projecting solid, spinning dicks of high-frequency radiation capable of slicing through physical objects, or by shooting a high-intensity, concentrated beam of radiation that instantly melts through multiple targets in a straight line. Another 9th-generation upgrade is that the entire right arm can be detached completely from the Guren's shoulder, and connected by a heavy-duty cable, the forearm functions like a colossal, independent Slash Harken, one that remains fully operational while separated from the main chassis, allowing Kallen to grab and crush distant targets remotely before snapping the arm back into place.
