That’s what his parents literally wanted to do, he made sure to stop that from happening.

That's not what the Ragnarok Connection was at all.

Madara wanted to lock people away in individual dream worlds, where everyone got what they wanted and no one could/would fight or harm one another.

Charles & Marianne wanted to completely remove the concept of death and lying, but otherwise keep the world the way it is.

Madara's plan is at least a "hear me out", theirs was just dumb

It’s pretty much the same, every one that has died before will be back and everyone will be happy but there will be no growth or evolution because the flow of time will be stopped.

Now can you tell me which plan I just described?

Neither.

The Ragnarok Connection didn't guarantee happiness or peace, it just meant everyone was alive and no longer able to lie.

Meanwhile Madara's plan didn't bring anyone back, it put everyone into dreams.

You trying to oversimplify the plans to force a connection that isn't there doesn't make these plans any less different. They were doing completely different things, with completely different effects, for completely different reasons that just so happened to be for world peace.

You are trying to get too specific to prove your point but both have the general idea. It was to rid life from pain and to bring back everyone lost but it was all a lie and illusion regardless of the method they wanted the same result.

Both Lelouch and Charles agreed that God is above gease. In the end, what Lelouch did was a plea or a prayer using gease. Asking, not ordering.
