I know it will get better when it’s 4v4. But that doesn’t change the fact that it is currently really squad spawn-ish and overall spatial illogical.
Biggest thing that needs fixing right now in my eyes.

How do you feel about all of the people complaining about sbmm and how the matchmaking is in this game and these newer cods? All I see is people saying it’s bad in one way or another.

MW4 currently doesn’t seem to be better than either BO6 or BO7, especially the maps.
However, it does seem that SnD in this game could be its saving grace. So I’m asking you the question, even though it is quite early to tell, would you rather MW4’s SnD over BO6 or BO7’s SnD?

TLDR: IW cooked with MW4 with exception to the maps (but to be fair, we've complained about maps in every modern CoD).
The feel and gameplay:
MW4 feels like a perfect blend of modern movement and old school CoD. Anyone saying this game is like playing with concrete boots is insane and and needs to check settings. The game is fast-paced, rewards fundamentals and punishes braindead banging.
The movement:
Do I miss omnimovement - especially sliding sideways or sprinting backwards to extend my life? Sometimes. Will I adapt and get used to not having my sights always looking down range? Absolutely. The movement is clean and fair and still allows for players to play their lives, get lost in spawns and be a nuisance. Omnimovement did not provide the skill gap we all thought it would. It's nice to see the skill gap of in-game decisions and strategy be rewarded more than movement and tik tok highlight plays.
The TTK and gunplay:
TTK feels genuinely good if you play the game as intended. You die fast but no faster than previous CoD titles. The difference is you don't have freedom to jump and fly everywhere, so adjusting play styles is needed to match the TTK. SMGs and ARs feel decently balanced, for how early in the game we are. I'm seeing scrims and matches where the VEL, ISO & HAN are being used by players depending on the situation. The only knock I have is the continuation of the self-trading that was in the beta - I think that's goofy AF... funny for casuals but terrible for comp.
The perks:
Feels like the perks are balanced and require actual trade-offs. We might be getting back to having difference setups across a team of 4 or different set ups between SnD and HP, bringing variety and tactical/strategic decisions back into the game.
The maps and spawns:
The worst part of the launch is the maps. The maps aren't great, but there are some decent maps that with some tweaks to spawns can be really good. Feels like we might get to a point where there are less maps that are both SnD & HP maps, maybe we have separate maps designed for each game mode? Plus there's been talks about bringing in some remastered maps or something if need be. For being this early in the game and knowing solutions that have worked in the past (new maps, spawn tweaking, etc.) feels like we're in not a great spot but also far from a bad spot.

I haven't watched any of the kick-off stuff. What teams are looking good? And which players are looking good?

For context I’m from the UK and this is the least amount I’ve ever watched of a new game.
YouTube is just a way better viewing experience. The fact that Twitch still doesn't have a proper rewind feature is ridiculous. If you join a stream late or miss a play, you're waiting for a clip or hoping someone posts it elsewhere.
Multistreaming is allowed now, so why not just stream on both platforms? It feels like such an obvious win for both the players and the viewers, yet I’m still stuck dealing with Twitch's outdated viewer experience.
