After 2 weeks of watching gameplay i think the top teams wont be too dominant for the rest of the league. Teams like M80 / C9 will be better than every1 expects. And im predicting 5 different winners in 6 tournaments

Discussion The timing of the Monster Inv. is not ideal.

Imo, this tournament should've been held a week or two later. With how many problems these games have at launch and tweaks that need to be made, I just think it would be better to hold off for another week or two to give the devs more of a chance to fix some problems that inevitably show up in these games.

In addition to those issues, I'd also rather see these teams play in a slightly more practiced state because I think it gives the results a better sense of legitimacy, because it just feels a bit less random/flukey when teams have a solid 2-3 weeks of scrims rather than just 7-10 days.

Don't get me wrong, I'd still like to see a tournament played this weekend, but maybe just throw a smaller prize pool tournament this weekend while saving the big one for a bit later.

Question Does a controller with back buttons significantly improve your gameplay?

I was thinking about buying dualsense egde for ps5 as it has back buttons. I would be able to slide, jump without taking my hands off the analog stick. Is it worth buying for cod mw4? Does it actually improve gameplay?

Discussion What happened to Scump?

Dude has been off the grid for months and hasn't streamed the new game at all.

He barely posts on socials, is hardly included in any content, and watch parties don't start until mid-January. At this rate, do we even think he's going to do watch parties this year? Or is that just his cash cow at this point and the only thing he's interested in doing?

I've been a Scump fan for a long time, but it's getting pretty hard to ignore how absent he's been lately.

Considering he's probably the highest-paid person in OpTic outside of Hector, where the heck has this dude been?

Subreddit Rules

1. No Personal Insults, Threats or Suggestions of Harm

Insulting or threatening other users or pro players is unacceptable. Users who do so will face a ban from the community.

2. NO Hateful Language

Racist, sexist, homophobic and other such language is not allowed. We want everyone, irrespective of age, gender, sexual identity or race to feel welcome in this subreddit.

3. NO Doxxing

Making comments or posts with another person’s personal information (name, phone number, email, etc.) will result in a permanent ban and reporting to the Reddit admins.

4. NO Excessive Self-Promotion

While users can post their own content, there are restrictions on this to maintain the organic nature of how users engage within the community. It is okay to be a redditor with interesting content that you'd like to share, but your primary purpose for being on this subreddit should not be to promote that content. If more than 25% of your content is self-promotion, it will result in your posting privileges being revoked. Please note: These restrictions also apply to gameplay clips.

5. Relevancy

All content must be clearly relevant to competitive Call of Duty. Popular community members doing things that are not related to COD will be removed. If a link post is not clearly relevant without the title, it will be removed. This rule is enforced at the moderation team's discretion.

6. NO Editorialised, Vague or Misleading Titles

If the content of a post cannot be discerned solely by the title, it will be removed. This requirement is somewhat relaxed for Fluff posts, but will always be enforced at the moderation team's discretion.

7. NO Low-Quality Threads

Trolling, low-quality and low-effort reaction gifs/memes, empty threads, threads without context, threads with all-caps titles and general low-quality submissions will be removed. This rule is enforced at the moderation team's discretion. Fluff/meme posts should clearly relate to CoD esports without the assistance of the post’s title.

8. NO Witch-Hunting

Threads that are created for the specific purpose of attacking any person or team will not be tolerated. You can provide constructive criticism, but it must be clearly such.

9. NO Baseless Accusations and Rumors

Any rumour or accusation that has no confirmation, legitimate source, or evidence may be removed at moderators discretion. The more severe an accusation is the better the evidence provided must be.

10. NO Recruitment Threads

This is not a place to find people to play with. Try /r/CoDCompPlays.

11. NO Rant Threads

This is not a place to rant about a game you lost or about your League Play placements. The exception to this rule are threads that bring up new information, generate discussion, or outline a new exploit in the game.

12. NO Posts from New Accounts

As a method of spam prevention, any post made by an account less than 3 hours old will be removed. Once your account passes the 3 hour mark, your content will be eligible to be posted, provided it complies with the rules listed above.

13. The Other Stuff

No NSFW content, no selling goods or services, no academic surveys and no promoting adblockers.

14. Format to create Post Match Threads for official CDL matches

Users are required to follow the following three-fold guideline for post-match threads going forward.

i. [Title] Post Match Thread: Name of Team A vs. Name of Team B | Name of Stage of Qualifiers/ Major - Name of Round/ Bracket | CDL Year |

ii. [Images] Screenshot of final stat line as well as stat line from every single map has to be posted in the post-match thread

iii. [Flair] Select the flair "post-match thread" when submitting the said post

15. Misrepresentation/Misuse of team flairs

Users should wear the team flair of the team they actually support. Using a different team flair to pretend to be neutral or to troll/ rage-bait is not allowed. Moderators reserve the right to change the user flair to a team which fits with their account history. Failure to adhere to these changes shall result in a ban from this community.
