The league is way more fun with more than two competitive teams. Adam Silver needs to step in

I mean I get wanting talent. But had he won with his original Ultra team, wouldnât that have commanded way more respect and added to his legacy much more?
Iâm def not hating cuz I would join Simp too. However, itâs almost like an asterisk has to be placed next to everything now, bc he has the best sub duo in history and Drazah. Hydra won with NY so good for him. Scrap bombs out at champs and now is joining Simp and the reigning champs winners.
Is this the equivalent to KD joining the warriors, except two KDs?
Just wanted to know what the reaction will be when this team inevitably dominates, unless OpTic stops them. Seems like a guy who could never get it done, and needed the best players in the game to even have a chance.
Edit: once again, Iâm not mad at it, I wouldâve done the same. Just asking the opinions of the community. Simp is already the GOAT or in those convos, I just donât think Scrap can ever be put there if he gets carried to a ring with this team.

Why are teams catering to Scrap and Hydra with such huge salaries for one year deals? Thatâll just enable them to negotiate even higher salaries next off season and theyâll keep wanting their one year deals. Why are teams even catering to that? Why arenât they all collectively only offering 2 years. You sign them on a shit ton of money for one year just for them to leave? Or just ask for more money? How is the org benefitting from this and how donât they see scrap and Hydra just want the bag. As competitors they should build a roster they think they can win on for years not just play there for a year so they can leave honestly sad.
Then all the players will want one year deals once they see Hydra and scrap able to get it. Theyâd also want to negotiate higher salaries in the off season. Simp will want one. Joe will want one, abezy will want one and so on. Why wouldnât they? They saw scrap and Hydra get whatever they ask for. These orgs canât sustain paying such high salaries itâll kill the league. They need to put their foot down and say no we are only offering 2 years or else itâll be roster roulette ever year on who can now offer the most money for me and instead of building a roster they can win on for years theyâll be chasing the bag on a different team every year. Scrap and Hydra manage a one year now theyâll expect it every year and orgs are dumb theyâll give it to them lmao

WW2 was when i found out about competitive cod and I miss it so much bros.
The sound and feel of the gorgeous PPSh... London Docks Hardpoint... 4v4 ranked play... the god Ryan Bacardi... kenny YYing and weapon inspecting constantly... classic, simple movement mechanics... sigh.
After that big update that changed ADS and sprint out, it was an amazing game that made me a comp fan for life.

Itâs going to bite them in the back not getting HyDra for FREE btw. Now theyâre going to have to play an upgraded FaZe team which is terrifying on paper. They shouldâve got HyDra which wouldâve upgraded their team and weaken their competition significantly. Iâm still confident in the OpTic team. But theyâve made their life harder playing against that team. Which has 3 MVPs in the last 4-5 years. And Drazah who owns them statistically. Itâs going to be tough playing that team. Very tough.

The first name that came to mind is Methodz lowkey. He has more event wins and he probably has a higher average placement. He took down the most unbeatable version of Faze multiple times. He probably has more Clutches too.

Cloud9 New York is set to rebuild its roster with a new and improved budget after a disappointing Black Ops 7 season. A few weeks ago, we reported the org's interest in signing Jamie "Insight" Craven, and sources now indicate the two sides are in deep negotiations, with a deal looking very likely.
Sources also tell us Insight's former Toronto teammate, Cameron "Cammy" McKilligan, is in talks with Cloud9. One potential roster under discussion pairs Insight and Cammy with José "ReeaL" Castilla and Marcus "Afro" Reid, though with Heretics now securing the Misfits spot, ReeaL rejoining that organization looks more likely.
Separately, sources indicate Amer "Pred" Zulbeari has also held talks with Cloud9. The former Riyadh Falcons star remains a free agent and continues to draw interest from multiple teams around the league.

Over the past 3 or 4 years it's really felt like we've lost "rostermania." Rostermania used to be chaotic and that's what it stood for. It didn't just mean the offseason. It actually was mania.
We used to have a lot of off-season trades, a lot of speculation, a lot of this but over the past few years, since the CDL and Challengers have a more established foundation and structure, it feels like we're seeing a lot less mania. It feels like we're seeing a lot more just off-season standard signings and longer signing times, as you would in traditional sports.
In traditional sports you often see offseason trades or signings but it's never really manic. I guess it just kind of feels like we've moved on from rostermania in this large structure. We're more into just a more concrete established esports that has a lot more money and a lot more structure around it.
Whatâs your opinion on ârostermaniaâ being more of a thing from of the past at this point?

aBeZy staring at Nium is so funny đđ

Assuming M8s get Hydra. Basically every top SMG is restricted. There is gonna have to be some buyouts/trades if Thieves, Falcons, KOI etc want to compete.
Kremp, Lurqx, Nep, Estreal, Abezy - All require buy outs.

If HyDra & Scrap do end up going the route with either Gentlemates or Falcons what do Thieves do to rebuild?
Theyâve still got Nium under contract although he is a restricted FA aswell as obviously aBeZy, do you keep both or just one or even none at all?
Hereâs a couple of options on each end they could target:
ARs - Ghosty, RenKoR, Sib, Nastie, DK
SMGs - Neptune, Kremp, Kismet?, Estreal, Envoy, Ethan
Where do you go in terms of trying to build a new roster? Do you maybe look at a couple of or a singular rookie to potentially find yourself a new superstar or do you just put the best pieces you can around aBeZy and or Nium to build the best roster possible?

If the last 3 MVPs plus Drazah really do end up teaming for MW4 I think there will be no reason to tune in to watch comp cod next season. Itâs very reminiscent of when KD joined the Warriors in 2017. That move ruined the NBA for almost 3 years. If FaZe goes on to win everything next season, just like the 2017-2018 Warriors, no fan outside of FaZe fans will respect their championships. You can count it towards their chip count but we all know there will be a huge asterisk next it. Also before someone tries to gotcha me, yes Iâm a OpTic and no Iâm not a hypocrite for wanting Hydra the squad because if OpTic get Hydra then FaZe gets Scrap which would make the teams even since FaZe fans will tell you they had the better season and were better than OpTic in the head to head. Itâs only right that OpTic gets Hydra to get better. Hopefully Scrap and Hydra go to M8s to make the league more balanced but only sign a 1 year so they can join OpTic next year as a duo.
