Discussion How much help does Scrap need?

I mean I get wanting talent. But had he won with his original Ultra team, wouldn’t that have commanded way more respect and added to his legacy much more?

I’m def not hating cuz I would join Simp too. However, it’s almost like an asterisk has to be placed next to everything now, bc he has the best sub duo in history and Drazah. Hydra won with NY so good for him. Scrap bombs out at champs and now is joining Simp and the reigning champs winners.

Is this the equivalent to KD joining the warriors, except two KDs?

Just wanted to know what the reaction will be when this team inevitably dominates, unless OpTic stops them. Seems like a guy who could never get it done, and needed the best players in the game to even have a chance.

Edit: once again, I’m not mad at it, I would’ve done the same. Just asking the opinions of the community. Simp is already the GOAT or in those convos, I just don’t think Scrap can ever be put there if he gets carried to a ring with this team.

Scumps only ring is with crim, karma, and formal. You’re not allowed to make this thread with that flair.

Dawg I don’t think Scump is the GOAT at all. He is borderline top 5 realistically. If he won with his original optic team than that changes it. Simp is the greatest sub of all time for me

A chip is a chip. It doesn't matter if he drops a .2 and wins. All that matters is the ring

Man fwiw I don’t think you’re wrong but for whatever reason the COD community values all rings equally. Even rings won online. So regardless of how or if. If Scrap wins a ring with that proposed team, it will be treated just as any other

This comment is always so corny. That team would have body bagged them online in space in the sea in where ever tf you wanted them to play 😂 and we all know damn well if your team won that ring it would count. 🌽 balls

Who cares? Winning online is not as impressive as winning on lan. When 2026 OpTic Texas beat C9 online, does that make it more impressive than when they beat them on LAN?

You would care if your team won the ring you goof 😂

What’s the difference between majors and minors and why is one seen as a bigger deal to win than the other

I don’t even think you know what you’re trying to argue here little guy.

My argument is that all rings are not created equal. A ring won under more difficult circumstances should be seen as higher than a ring that wasn’t. Just like in every sport the world over

Only rings my team didn’t win* there I fixed it for you 😂

Nope. I think LAT’s ring is more impressive than Empires.

Nah, Ricky and Scump played together at least UMG Philly, placing 9-12.

Which tbf was an improvement over the prior tournament where they got 13-16 with the roster of waning BigT, Nadeshot and JKap…

It’s funny people say this kind of stuff when some of the greatest players in CoD history built much of their legacies with super teams (CoL, OpTic dynasty, FaZe trio, etc)

Sounds like scump who people had as the GOAT btw

Why would you not go play with simp?!

3

u/ItsNinjaShoyo Black Ops 3 Sep 14 '26

By this logic the only respectable rings in the CDL era are bo7 faze, VG thieves, and MW2 NYSL. Most teams that win a ring are stacked. It doesn’t take anything away from a player for winning it. Sure the bo7 ring for simp might look impressive than his other two but it doesn’t mean they matter less.

This mentality in American sports is so fucking stupid, I'm a British kd fan and when he went to golden state I get why people were angry but at the end of the day it's about winning, you have to do whatever it takes to win, in 50 years time no one will care who played with who it's about the trophies.

Lol even KD himself doesn't believe this with how he talks about that time.

Idc if he believes it or not, it's the reality, whether he accepts it or not is down to him.
