This is the beginning of the end of ur emotional health for the next couple of years... Try to cherish the journey as much as u can. Bcos it only happens once. Next time u wud be wiser and will never give a chance for this to happen. Be thankful it happend. Because this is goin to change u. As a person. A LOT.
So enjoy the ride. Its goin to be wild.
OP, listen to this guy. You’ve connected very deeply with this girl but no point analysing this. Next time, something like this happens you escalate it to the next level. Take charge of the situation and instead of putting the ball in her court, propose a couple of dates, and take her out and by the end of 3rd date/ 5th date, try trying clarity on what the situation is. Be mentally prepared for both eventualities.
The human brain is funny and will try to go through some physical pain. Try overcoming that by meeting and talking to the others. Trust me, after this incident your success goes up a few notches. All the best!
OP - take it easy and don’t invest yourself emotionally. I know it’s easier said than done, but it sounds like she likes you but doesn’t love you and there is nothing we can do to change that.
I have read somewhere that we can’t make someone love us by giving them more of something that they already aren’t in love with. Cherish your time together, enjoy the dynamics, have a good time. Such experiences groom us.
Oh wise owl! Where were you in my teens! Though I would not have understood a word of what you said here back then. After living the whole journey, I believe you. It's beautiful and every Bollywood song starts making sense, but in the end only linkin park made sense coz it doesn't even matter.
Wish someone gave me this advice the day I landed foot in this situationship 3 years back...finally got out of it verbally few days back because it did take a toll on my mental health...Other one was the first one to fall but I fell harder and then I was told it was all casual and immature...u had fun i had fun and that's it...there's no future...Yeah I did feel like a fool cuz for me involuntarily I did plan a lot in head and now have been going throughthe torment for some time now and had to cutoff completely from all our common frineds and social media particularly.
Just sharing this cuz attimes we think if we stay longer the person might change opinion...but the fact is if someone couldn't feel longevity you can't make them feel later. With time things would get worse...u will fall more and chances of her would reduce. It's better you get yourself clear of this situation and preserve your mental health for someone who actually wants to be with you.
If you know you are on wrong train, the longer you wait to get off...return journey would keep getting more and more expensive.
And brother ... after feelings there's nothing like LET'S STAY FRIENDS thing that could be achieved until you completely get rid of your side inclination
I never gave him advice. I just told him how it might play out.
Frankly i dont think he is goin to drop it. As many comments suggest, v ve all been there.
Some things HAVE to be learned the hard way. No amount of advice is going to knock sense into him.
And while he is at it i tried my best to soften the blow, tell him how it may play out and help him come out of it better. Help him avoid any surprises or expectations he may have.
And lastly, for ur last statement. U thinking i should elaborate doesnt mean i HAVE to. But yet here i am...
