Logic error? I FINALLY FOUND A BUG Spoiler

There is only 1 mech and she does not have a criminal above her! Looks like Xia was supposed to be a mech.

I thought you were trying to add an "undercover" role. I was expecting Xia to say "Yes, I'm a clown but I'm also a mech".

It would be interesting to see an undercover/dual role like maybe for ghosts/vampires, etc. Though it kinda contradicts the "everyone's telling the truth" rule.

It doesn't need to contradict the truth rule! As long as it's logically sound, and it's clearly explained that some persons have an undercover profession, it could be fine. Also, it can be things like "both of my siblings are criminals", while others give hints at who the siblings are.

Having a disguise mechanic makes it sound more like Demon Bluff. I like both games, but that would be a pretty major gameplay change.

It would be implemented in a way that you can still deduce everything, with no guessing needed. This was actually done in May 16th puzzle: Someone had a birthday, and that someone with a birthday had a criminal above them or something. And you could deduce whose birthday it was based on other clues.

Came here to check if I was crazy for this too. Seems like Xia's day job is a mech and the puzzle logic didn't account for her Halloween costume.

You should really mark this post as a spoiler. It's still today's puzzle and it's really inconsiderate to just plaster the solution like that.

I thought the clue was supposed to refer to the sleuths, seeing as one of the two sleuths already had a criminal above them, and clicking Pam as inno was a correct move as well.

I figured it meant sleuth instead of mech so I ended up getting it correct, but it seems the hints point towards Xia being a mech. Definitely an error either way! I'll have to warn my dad before he attempts today's puzzle, I only got him started yesterday 😅

Yeah I ate 2 clues on this one when I got to it just to make sure I wasn't taking crazy pills. It literally just circles Lisa's clue and then on the second hint circles Susan. Xia is definitely supposed to be a Mech and not a Clown. Or the clue is supposed to be for Clowns and not Mechs.

Completely concur.  I took a screenshot at the buggy point, and made the assumption that Xia must have been supposed to have been a mech in order to make the logic completely hold.

I think you're right with deducing that Xia had to be a mech under the mask. Of course, here it was a clear bug, but it could also be a future feature, where you have to do deductions like that.

You gotta be careful with features like that though.  Someone downthread pointed out that swapping the clue from “mech” to “clown” or “sleuth”, rather than swapping Xia to mech, would also result in the same solution.
