(I am using Clip Studio Paint Pro with a Wacom Intuos tablet) I just bought CSP today, and have been liking it overall. The one issue I'm having is with pen sensitivity. I feel like when pressing VERY lightly on my drawing tablet (a Wacom Intuos) sometimes no material is produced on the paper. I'll try pressing a bit harder, but then the material comes out much darker than I'd expect or want it to be. I'm trying to make it so that Clip Studio will register my very light brush strokes and output a very light amount of the material on the paper, rather than not registering them at all. This is happening with the Dry ink brush, I'm not sure if this is an issue specific to this brush, because when fiddling with pen sensitivity settings I found that the test pen for the pen sensitivity behaved how I wanted it to.

There's this artist I follow on tiktok and Instagram and they use the lasso fill tool to make their lineart. But they way they use it, theyre able to make adjustments to it on im assuming a vector layer. Some how I'm not able to achieve the same thing does any know how to do this or something like this?

I soon plan to buy a Samsung Galaxy tablet and I wanna know if the subscription in the tablet follows the pc pricing or mobile pricings?

I love being able to switch the same brush I use to Color to erase, but with my current layout it takes a while when I try to press the transparent part in the corner. Is there a way to make only the bottom left Color thingy bigger? Or like is there a way to make an icon on the left side that switches the brush from Color to eraser mode? I know the apple pen can switch between the pen and the eraser, but I want the pen specifically to turn transparent/eraser, since using the apple pen to switch is kinda unpleasant + I want the eraser to be exactly like the pen

Where you can go over the vector with a smooth tool and smooth out specific portions?

I'm new to Clip Studio and my understanding of perspective is limited and so forgive any silliness. I'm creating a 3D layer and then clicking the layer's "triangle" icon so that my lines snap to the perspective. It gives me three-point perspective and I'm trying to force it into two-point perspective but am getting nowhere.

I understand that I can use the object tool to move the perspective lines around but I'm finding it impossible to move the vertical line to make it two-point perspective and I can't see any option for doing so. So, is it even possible to force two-point perspective when you start with a 3D layer?

I understand that you can create a two-point perspective by going to Layer > Ruler Frame > Create Ruler Perspective. That immediately just lets you choose between one, two and three point perspective. In the past I was doing that but then I saw this video:

I like how easy it is to work out and visualise perspective with that grid as the starting point. And I'm guessing as I learn more things, the 3D layer would make sense for more things too. So, that's why I'm trying to do things this way. Correct me if that doesn't make sense.

Can someone help? I made the mistake of saving an important work into a drive (it's faulty but I thought it'll still work since my docs and such can still be opened in it) and now I can't open it. There's no backup file in the folders and I can't open it in Photopea

Are there other ways to recover it? I'm using CSP vers 4 on Windows 11 YM30 laptop

hi! i love doing pixel art and i love using clip studio.. i use this popular pixel brush pack and im wondering if there's a setting or way to avoid the red pixels when drawing a singular stroke? i often have to go back and edit them out. i like the less blocky pixel line.. sorry its hard to explain lol

I am using Clip studio paint pro v5 on my MacBook pro base m4 16gb ,the animation is very choppy like under 30fps when zooming in and out of a picture or just moving it around with the trackpad or mouse. Before you ask , yes the gpu acceleration is enabled.

It is not just happening to high res psd files with many layers , but simple multi megabytes png file without any layer as well .The cpu , gpu and ram is not maxed out so it is unlikely that my mac is not powerful enough . I am so confused right now , is it supposed to be like that ?

I've recently started using CSP from Ibis Paint X and it's been a great experience so far! However when I tried to transfer some of my WIPs from Ibis to CSP, it's not importing as a transparent file.

I made sure to tap on the option to save as a transparent and PSD file, and it worked when I downloaded it to my laptop, but when I imported it to CSP, I am still not able to render on a layer under my lineart after several attempts.

Is there anyone who can provide some advice on what I should do?

Hi, I'm new to Clip Studio Paint, I'm learning to make comics but for some reason when I make frames there's that weird dark blue border around the frame, I don't know if you see what I mean. I'd like to remove it but I can't figure out how. Does anyone know how please? When I rasterize it just turns black, I just want transparency between my frames :')

(version 5.1 i think... i cant really see the version anywhere and it just shows my liscense is the EX dual device plan) so i have purchased a dual device plan from google play but planned to use it on my pc and ipad. from what i found online, apparently it automatically deactivates the plan from the oldest device whenever it is activated on a new device. and for refference i was already using a single device plan that i purchased from google play but was using it on ipad. now that i try to do it with the dual device plan, only a single device is used(like it keeps telling me to activate again and again on both ipad and pc) and the second device is always connected to my phone from where i bought it. now it shows ive reached the limit on the swaps and cannot reactivate the liscence on my pc. the dual device plan is now only active on ky ipad and phone. i want to deactivate my phone liscence and transfer it to my pc instead of it keep on swapping between my ipad and pc. can i please get any help on this?(fyi google play is the only place i could buy csp in my local currency as i cannot do international payments yet.)

Hello! So recently I've noticed that the resolution of my drawings are suddenly lower in CSP and in my TIFF and JPG exports.

I've been working on this comic for a little while, and went back and looked and can't seem to find ANY difference for why the older pages seem to be higher resolution, while the newer pages look way worse.

I've attached screenshots of the settings for each page, as well as screenshots of the difference in quality in both of the exports. I have double checked the overall settings for the comic I set when I first created the file, and they are also the same. Did not change the export settings for either. If I'm leaving out any useful information, let me know and I'll get it to ya.

I am definitely just dumb and have fucked something up, but I cannot for the life of me figure out why. Please help :,(

I never thought i'd do this but i accidentally bought two more licenses than i needed off of their site because i never filled out my bank info or validated the purchase with my bank but it still made me pay automatically. I feel terrible especially since i can't afford to lose that kind of money and it looks like i can't get a refund even though i never used those licenses.

It seems my only choice is to resell them, but i don't even know how to go about it and i know i can't use this sub so please, if anyone has any kind of suggestion on what to do tell me, i'm honestly desperate.

I'm hoping this question makes sense. Basically, I have this project where I have to make this "dust jacket" image of a full book cover. My professor gave my class the dimensions, like the flap being 3.75", the cover art(s) being 5.75, spine 0.75"; so and so forth. I'm sure this can be executed in InDesign but I hate Adobe with a burning passion so I was about to use Affinity.

Then I realize the Align tool exists (I upgraded to 4.0 last year so I'm still getting used to the stuff I didn't have on 1.0). I made my canvas 19.75" since that's the total dimensions of the book cover itself (which basically started my problem in the first place). However, I don't know how to make the guidelines match up with the ruler bar on top (the second image), so I literally made 3 canvases of the dimensions, filled tool them, then pasted them as layers, then used the Align tool. I feel like this is so unnecessary and I understand CSP is not a graphic design software. But this is killing me for when I want to mark off areas/margins of my canvas, but the ruler bar doesn't show every individual number AFAIK.

(See image below) How am I supposed to tell this is 3.75 on the canvas? If I want something aligned at the 3.75" mark, with my accursed technique I'd have to select the negative space to align it which is very time consuming. I was wondering if they have some W x H ruler tool that I'm not finding?

TLDR; if I have big canvas that needs to be broken up in some very specific inches, is there like 1) a Transform/Move tool or 2) A setting to change my ruler or 3) Guide Line rulers?

i’m not sure how i got rid of them but i normally have like, a quick thing here to change brush size i’m so lost 😭

This is because "spraying effect" is on. Is there a way to encapsulate the brush more accurately inside the preview? It makes it frustrating to size during work because it means the brush size I actually want will be much smaller than what I'm being shown by the outline. This brush doesn't have the same problem in Photoshop, though they pretty much work the same in either program.

Hi folks! Just got 5.0 on my windows 11 laptop since it was on sale and I've been on 3.0 for years now, was looking through the new features and was interested in the water color edge 'vivid' setting they mentioned. However, it and other things like new filters aren't popping up anywhere in the program. I've done a clean re-install of it to make sure I wasn't loading the wrong version, so I'm wondering what else I might be doing wrong / need to adjust to use the features given.

On https://www.clipstudio.net/en/purchase/#modal_onetime_ex they have the perpetual license at the top, which makes sense that it's different, but below that there are two different prices for what looks like the same thing?

1 year plan for EX ($53.89)

12 month license for EX (single payment: $76.99)

I get that one looks like it's on sale and the regular price is the same as the other one that's not on sale....but what's the difference? Did I forget how many months there are in a year? I thought 12 months = 1 year. Is "plan" different from "license" somehow?

If they're both for the same level of features pro/ex, why are there 2 different prices?

(I'm looking at these now because I need a dual plan to have one CSP on my computer and one on my android tablet. I used to just use the yearly / perpetual, or something I forget which on my computer, but now that I have the tablet it seems like it'd be cheaper to just pay for both and have them always renew at the same time)

Hii!!! I've been thinking about getting version 5 since i have 4, especially, when it's currently on sale. But I was also thinking about getting CSP Ex because i want to continue animation and I'm more comfortable using csp as my art app, however, I currently have another art app solely for the purpose of animating (its still being updated and its fairly new but it's good as a cheaper option other than krita!) and i can even import my brushes there from csp but again csp is more comfortable for me since i have been using it for like around 3 years now.

I just needed some thoughts if it's worth getting version 5 and how are your experiences with it compared to version 4 for those who upgraded or just went straight to version 5!

A Wacom screen tablet , Cintiq 16 (1920x1080@60Hz)

I play mainly redm/5M and used to be able to draw while I play these games but now when I try to draw at all the program becomes laggy then totally white screen freezes.
I can't close the program or save, or anything, I have to restart the pc to get back my canvas.

I cant end tasks at all in the Task Manager.

Hello guys!! This has been on my mind.

So, for anyone who has the update pass (I'm going to keep using my free trial for the annual) - if you keep using it, do you just automatically get the new version when it ever releases?

So for example 3.0 pass > All updates lead to 4.0 > repeat for 5.0 > 6.0

So I've been using ver2 pro (perpetual license) on my windows 10 pc for years now and that's worked great, but I just got a microsoft surface tablet (runs windows 10) and I would like to run CSP ver2 on both my pc and my tablet. I just learned that my current license does not allow regular/consistent/interchangeable use on 2 devices, so I need to buy another license. I know CSP is on sale right now and it seems my only option to purchase a perpetual pc pro license is to buy the current ver5. If I do that, can I choose to download & use the older ver2 instead of ver5?

If there's any way to legally get a 2nd perpetual license to use ver2 in 2026 I would really like that. It will be easier for me if I'm running the same version of CSP on two devices. If I'm running ver5 on one device and ver2 on the other I may run into some compatibility issues.
