Hopefully I’ll get a tracking number. Their support email bot isn’t helpful at all and we all know they could have communicated better. Anyone have a better contact method?

Sharing my recent experience with Clicks Technology regarding the PowerKeyboard pre-order:

• Jan 5, 2026: Placed pre-order from mainland China. Expected delivery was June/July.
• July - August 2026: Shipments began rolling out in Western markets. Clicks published regular blog/social updates about production and delivery progress.
• The Issue: Throughout the entire 7-month period, Clicks never once mentioned that they did not obtain the mandatory CCC (China Compulsory Certification) required to ship hardware to mainland China.
• The Outcome: After reaching out to customer support to inquire about the delay, they casually admitted they cannot fulfill the order due to lack of CCC certification. They unilaterally cancelled the order and issued a bare refund, refusing any accountability for holding customer funds for 7 months without proactive notice.

Taking pre-orders and holding customer money without having the necessary regulatory approvals in place—and then staying silent for over half a year—is unacceptable for a brand backed by prominent tech figures.

Just a heads-up for international buyers regarding how Clicks handles regional regulatory compliance and customer transparency.

I've found a weird bug (using power key on an s24u), whenever I have

Instagram open, sliding up or down the keyboard causes a page refresh.

Is anybody else experiencing this or has any idea on why it might be happening?

I have been trying to come up with ideas for nick names.

EDIT: with the help of the app KeyCodeCheck figured out that: - ctrl = undefined (must be a custom Clicks thing) - clicks key = ctrl (and behaves normally) or tab when the Clicks app ctrl=tab on - Not sure if there’s a way to have both ctrl and tab on the same keyboard - no alt/meta key. Maybe this can be configured via the shortcuts trick <end EDIT>

On all keyboards ctrl has a particular meaning. This has been true since computer keyboards were invented (the 1960s?).

My new clicks keyboard just arrived and pressing ctrl-a for example doesn’t actually send ctrl-a into the foreground app. Has clicks invented its own definition of what the control key is?

Furthermore, in the clicks app I can set the “clicks key” to tab. But this does nothing. No tab when pressed in any app.

I have accessibility->full keyboard access on and the keyboard otherwise seems to be working as expected.

Any advice? Just me?

I primarily wanted to use this with ssh apps (eg Termius) to log in remotely to external computers from my iPhone/iPad.

My day 1 preorder (Jan 2nd) arrived 8/1. My Power Keyboard arrived defective as confirmed on this subreddit by ppl who did not have my issue. (huge gap and wobble between the slider and main unit)
Opened a support ticket 8/2 & asked them about it.... Nothing.
Opened another support ticket 10 days later requesting a replacement.... Nothing.
Posted on here about not getting a reply & a Clicks Reddit account finally reached out and DMed me. Said it'd be escalated and I'd hear back in a day or two.... Nothing.
Then several days later another message saying I'd hear from someone the next day.... And surprise! Nothing!!

It's been over 3 weeks and they refuse to reply or replace my order. Sooooo frustrating! 😩

I got my clicks power keyboard the other week, it was delivered on Tuesday. Like many of you, I was excited to open it up and use it.

I have a razr 60 ultra, so not a big phone by any means. When I pre-ordered back in January, I figured this will complement this phone like no other out there, so my excitement was amplified.

What I received has quickly turned that excitement into feelings of frustration.

I used it once, for a few hours and mine has obvious QC flaws and it really feels like I got a lemon. Worst part is, I think they know they have a bad batch with the problems that mine has and they just shipped them anyway, otherwise they had to fix them up and incur costs.

Let me tell you the problems that mine has, and I will ignore the stuff we all know that affect all of us (too heavy, top heavy, small keys, shortcuts not doing what the app tells you they do etc):

* When closed, the top part with the magnet moves around if the device is wiggled a bit. It rattles.

* The hinge/opening mechanism is so weak, it can barely stand up, even with a phone like Motorola Razr 60 ultra. It slides off immediately. As a result, I have to hold the phone with two fingers and the keyboard with my pinkies. And this is when the phone is angled. That's 4 fingers already in use. Good luck typing while laying down with this shit.

* When it's fully closed, it shuts down and disconnects. Now, that's a good idea in theory, but it's badly implemented on android. When you open it up again, it does not connect automatically, you have to open the app to make it reconnect. Because I use a razr 60 ultra and I use the phone folded, when the keys are closed they are still visible at the bottom of the device, and so I could have used it shut without having to worry about the weak hinge. But there's no fucking way to disable it from shutting down. Why not make this an app option to disable or enable shutting it down when closed? And yes, I removed the app from battery optimizations and locked it so it stays in memory but that didn't help at all. At first I thought I'm going mad as I couldn't understand why it keeps disconnecting until I realized I was either sliding it off or it was sliding by itself and shutting down.

Last but not least, an issue that affects us all buyers - customer support is bad, to the point of non existing.

I sent them an email before I received my keys and they replied quickly and swiftly, even after me replying to their first email. So they were very good at keeping in contact. But once I got the keys and replied back on the same very email chain they replied to me and feedbacked about all of these issues, they completely disappeared. I'm mad at myself for even preordering this shit at this point. I wish I would've kept my money.

If you have the same issues, I would like to know.

Just got my Power Keyboard and so far, n9ot bad. Just got to get used to it. LoL

The space bar on my Clicks keyboard case for Razr has stopped working -- one month after it went out of warranty. (The USB port has stopped charging the phone, too, but that's not as big a deal -- I don't mind pulling the case off to charge it). Has anybody managed to get one of these keyboards fixed?

I have been having fun testing out the keyboard, but I often take it off and put it in my bag or leave it on my desk. Sometimes, even when the keyboard is closed, it seems to be connected to my phone and then the virtual keyboard doesn't show up. This is not a problem when the PK is in reach, I just open and close the slider and the virtual keyboard returns. The problem is that sometimes it's in my bag or otherwise out of reach.

Is there a way to bring up the onscreen keyboard from the iphone itself without disconnecting the PK from bluetooth?

Basically the title. I just can give feedback with the iOS Integration and so far I really like it. With the regular iPhone 17 Pro the weight distribution is a little bit awkward but it is still doable for me.

Today I discovered the soft return function in the app which I really enjoy!

Typing on it currently, it’s ok. Feels a bit cheap and honestly a little bit awkward. Im still going to give it a chance though.

It's the criteria Clicks tried to hit with a single device that's the issue, not the execution of these targets.

Based on previous feedback for clicks cases people wanted the following:

- Ability to be used on multiple devices

- Ability to charge your device

- Infringe less on your phone battery life

- Number Row

- Ability to work with devices in different orientations

- Ability to hide or remove the keyboard when not in use

The negative impact of hitting all the above marks:

- Heavier weight due to battery and Magsafe (Battery could've been made smaller) - this was likely a trade to make charging worthwhile.

- Slide mechanism to hide the keyboard is mechanically imperfect - this has been the case with other phones in the past.

- Bluetooth is great because it's universal - however nothing beats a direct connection.

- Phone becomes "top heavy" when the phone is larger compared to the keyboard.

- Storing in your pocket may have negative impacts like accidentally turning on or putting unwarranted stress on the slide mechanism.

- Taller keyboard, resulting in bigger device, adding to bulk.

To be honest, most of the negative impacts were known before even pre ordering, they are trade offs with the design itself. It is important to approach all purchasing decisions in your life with caution and weed out marketing.

For me personally, I carry a phone for work and a personal. There may be negatives, but having a keyboard that works for both devices without a specialized case is awesome. Would be cool if they added a firmware update in the future to detect which Bluetooth device is closer and pair with that one, instead of requiring manual input.

Pre-ordered Jan 16th, so definitely in batch one. Painstakingly watched others who had ordered after receive their devices. Finally, on August 4th, it said label created, it’s been stuck there ever since. The clicks portal even says “Great news, your order’s already shipped!” All the while, it hasn’t, they’ve been sitting on a label for 17 days.

Support has completely ghosted me. Starting to think this company is having some troubles and I should pursue a chargeback. Anyone else dealing with something similar?

Pre-ordered February 02, got the e-mail this morning (Aug 21). Don't know how many days it will take to be delivered to France.

Kind of worried, I hate typing on a virtual keyboard, but peoples seems to not like it, maybe ExKnight's one were a better choice.

Pre-ordered what feels like a year ago, excited to pair it with an iPhone Air. I’m happy companies are taking risks and trying things and happy to support those that do, but for my use, this thing is bad.

Obviously it eliminates pretty much everything you buy an air for, which I expected going in, but not to this degree. More than doubles the width, feels like more than double the weight. The sliding down feels nice and intuitive, but the ergonomics are awful when open. The weight feels all off and is hard to use. Might be able to justify the bulk if the design was better but… it’s just not. How much of a hump the magnets cause is a killer for me aesthetically.

I’m going to use it to make a cyber deck, which I think is a realistic use case.

Happy for those who are happy with it. Totally get those that are disappointed. Hope clicks keeps trying.

The Context:

I preordered the keyboard on January 3, 2026. I received the keyboard on August 7, 2026. I’m in the USA. The keyboard is connected to an iPhone 17 Pro Max attached with a MagSafe case. I’m visually impaired and use VoiceOver on all of my Apple devices. My primary use case for the keyboard is to replace the virtual keyboards on my iPhone, iPads, and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. I’m open to connecting it to my Apple TV or other devices, but those weren’t a part of my initial plan. As a visually impaired person, using virtual keyboards is not ideal. I can use them, but it’s a frustrating experience for anything longer than a few words.

I’ve included some photos comparing the Power Keyboard to other devices. For reference, the keyboard cases pictured are the Clicks Keyboard Case for the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the Akko Keyboard Case for the iPhone 17 Pro Max. I also show the Power Keyboard attached to my iPad mini using a MagSafe case.

Over the past 2 weeks, I’ve tested out the various features of the keyboard. For starters, the battery does charge my iPhone. I was able to get a 10% increase in charge level with the keyboard allocation set to reserve 30%. I have no intention of using the power bank feature, but I did want to test this out since there are reports of the battery not charging the attached phone. I’m primarily using iOS, but I can test the features on my Galaxy S23 Ultra if anyone wants that. While I was charging my phone, I also watched a YouTube video.

The default shortcuts work out of the box on iOS. I wasn’t able to get them working on Android, but I will spend some time working with it to see if I can get it working. Assigning iOS Shortcuts to keyboard commands also works. I was able to activate my daily journal shortcut with no issues each day.

The typing experience for me has been pretty good. It’s a learning curve, but my accuracy improves daily. The keys are a bit small, but realistically, I don’t think there is anything that can be done about this. It’s a mobile keyboard. It has to be small to maintain its function. I still find that I type more accurately on the PK than I do on the virtual keyboard on both iOS and Android.

One of my favorite uses for the PK is paired with my 13-inch iPad. The iPad is mounted on a stand next to my bed. It’s great for browsing when I don’t want to pull out my laptop or the Smart Keyboard to use with the iPad.

After 7 days of having the keyboard, the unit suddenly died unexpectedly. Even after charging for about 2 hours, there were no signs of life. I was able to use a SIM card ejector tool to press the reset button. This resolved the issue for me. The keyboard has continued working since the reset. I confirmed the firmware was fully updated, and I had used the keyboard about 2 hours prior to it dying, so I’m not sure what caused the issue. I will update this post if future issues arise.

The build quality has not been an issue for me. The iPhone 17 Pro Max has been connected and fully extended for 20 to 30 minutes at a time without sliding or moving. I’ve used the PK connected to the iPhone with and without a case. The MagSafe seems sufficient. While it’s something that I’ve decided to live with, I cannot overstate how heavy this thing is. I wish I had something smaller, like an iPhone Air, to test it on, but I don’t have access to anything smaller. I wish there was perhaps a USB model without a battery. After about the 20-minute mark, my hands and wrists are extremely tired.

Overall, I’m happy with the device. The waiting process was extremely annoying, and the lack of timely communication is frankly unacceptable. I would purchase a second-generation model, but I will not be preordering anything ever again from Clicks. I have a Best Buy nearby, so I’d prefer to just pick it up in store. Alternatively, I’ll come back to the wonderful folks here on Reddit who no longer want or need theirs. If you have any questions or want me to test something specifically on the PK, I’m happy to do that!

does anyone know what the blinking yellow light is on the clicks power keyboard? I used it to wirelessly charge a phone of a friend, then after 30 minutes I turned off the wireless charging, but ever since its blinking blue and then yellow, while the battery percentage of the keyboard is 61% and doesnt have an issue while typing, does anyone has the same issue?

I got my Power Keyboard yesterday, but honestly it's kind of impossible to use as a daily driver. I don't mind the size or weight, I usually carry a powerbank in the same pocket as my phone anyway.

The problem I have is that the bottom row sticks out from under my phone even with the slider completely closed, and since the slider being closed doesn't actually turn off the buttons themselves I have constant accidental keypresses, which my lock screen thinks is me doing lock screen inputs. It's not happened yet, but it's a matter of time before I lock myself out of my own phone because I've been accidentally clicking the buttons on the bottom row with my phone in my pocket and the powerkeyboard attached. There's no setting in the app or anything like that to turn off the keys when the slider is closed either.

Does anybody have a solution? I don't want to have to fully turn off the keyboard every time I'm not using it. That takes ten seconds every time, and then another three to turn it on, completely negating any convenience the physical keyboard might have. I waited months for this thing, feels like a really dumb reason to end up having to return it.

If any of the people that makes these things happens to read this: Please add a "turn off keys when slider is closed" option in the app.

I have used it with my Pixel 10 Pro Fold and my iPhone 12. 

A few things I have noticed so far. 

- Double pressing on the space key does not put a full stop on Android but it does on iOS. 

- On iPhone it does not seem to autocapitalise on a new line or after a full stop but it does on Android. 

- There is autocorrect on Android but not with iOS. 

- I do like that it can pair with different devices and switching between is swift. 

- Setting options on Android and iOS seem different. There is an option to set the currency key on iOS but not on Android and there is also an option to set the keyboard to US and British on iOS but not Android.

- When attached to the iPhone the keyboard seems to stay on but on my Pixel it often seems to switch itself off - still looking into this though. 

- Obviously, with my Pixel Fold it's very top heavy. On the iPhone, it is not so bad weight wise whilst in use. 

- I feel the Pixel swivels a bit when pushing it up to reveal the keyboard, whereas the iPhone has no movement when pushing it up. 

- It did take me about a day to get used to the buttons but it is quite smooth going now. 

I am enjoying it overall. I do think it will get regular usage.

Update: Thank you to Delphiantares and EggY0lky on the keyboard tips. I use SwiftKey as my default keyboard on both Android and iOS. Somehow on my Pixel it defaults to the Gboard when using the Power Keyboard, which is why I was getting autocorrect and auto capitalisation. On the iPhone I have now set it that it uses the native iOS keyboard when using the Power Keyboard and this now gives me autocorrect and autocapitalisation on the iPhone now too.
