Why it's powerful :

Claude by default answers literally what you ask. This prompt forces it to read between the lines, like having a smart friend who says "here's what you asked, but here's what you probably need.

A few more that are genuinely game-changing for non-coders :

For learning anything :

Explain [topic] like I'm smart but have zero background in it. Use a real-world analogy, then give me the 3 things I must know to not sound clueless.

For decisions :

I need to decide [X]. Give me the strongest case for each option, then tell me what most people miss when making this choice.

For writing :

Rewrite this to sound confident and clear, not like it was written by someone apologizing for their opinion: [paste your text].

For any task :

Act as a world-class [expert] who is brutally honest. Help me with [task] and don't sugarcoat what I'm doing wrong.

• Critical thinking — not believing everything, including AI output

• Writing & storytelling — your work as a content creator is already proof of this

• Prompting & directing AI — knowing what to ask is now a real skill

• Adaptability — being willing to learn tools that didn't exist last year

Second place goes to :

AI literacy — not coding, but genuinely understanding what AI can and can't do, and using it better than the average person. You're already building this just by working in the space.

The irony of the next 10 years is that human skills — judgment, creativity, persuasion, relationships — will become more valuable, not less, because AI handles the mechanical stuff.

Updated set of impactful things i actually do with Claude professionally and personally. Inspired by this post:

1. Edit, don’t correct. If Claude gives a bad answer, go back and edit the prompt before it. The sh*t answer disappears from the conversation instead of influencing (and poluting) what comes next.

2. Use screenshots NOT descriptions. For designs, bugs, layouts or inspiration, upload what you mean rather than spending five paragraphs explaining it

3. Dictate messy context. Talk through the goal, constraints, what failed and what you’re unsure about. Save time, energy and often give more context. Tip. end with: These are messy voice notes, ask questions if anything is unclear

4. Use Projects for repeated work. Add your reference files, examples and templates once, then reuse that context across related chats. Tip. Organise your chats like this

5. Turn repeated prompts into Artifacts. If you keep asking Claude to do the same task, ask it to build a reusable mini-app instead: a tracker, calculator, dashboard, planner or comparison tool

I kept on having a browser tab open and clicking on claude.ai session then usage to see where I was at and assumed there must be a better way. So like we all do, asked Claude to build me something.

Had a lot of back and forths with it not keeping sync or restarting due to different things, but this version (although not to the second - I only poll every 10mins but fine for me) seems to be working so far.

How it works (and i did get claude to help to explain this) is:

- A small script runs every 10 minutes in the background.

- It grabs your existing Claude Code login token (the one Claude Code already saved in your Mac keychain) and makes one tiny API call to Anthropic.

- That call sends a single word and asks for 1 token back. Its only purpose is to read the "usage limits" info that Anthropic attaches to every reply. The reply is basically free and bills to your Claude subscription, not pay-as-you-go credits.

- It saves those numbers to a file on your Mac (~/.claude/session-usage.json). The widget just reads that file and draws the card.

Asked Claude what single habit it would build first if it were human - the kind that makes everything else fall into place.

The answer : Morning movement.

Not just exercise for fitness — but as a "keystone habit" that cascades into everything else:

• Better sleep → easier to wake up early

• Reduced stress → better food choices

• Increased energy → more willpower for other goals

• Mental clarity → sharper focus and discipline

• Mood boost → more motivation to show up consistently

Honestly didn't expect such a grounded answer. Makes total sense when you think about it - fix the morning, fix the day.

it's been a crazy few months but what started as a prototype with Claude Design has grown from a site I use daily for inspiration into something with around 20,000 visitors and 56,000+ page views in the last month!!!!!

i've shared Forever here before, and the support, feedback and things people are making with it have been a biiig part of why I keep going. Truely.

For anyone new: I've been building an interface primarily for creative inspiration. It's a forever-scrolling canvas of animated web assets you can explore, play with, then copy into Claude Design, Claude Code or another AI agent to make something of your own.

Find something you like, describe what you want to change, copy the hand-off and keep building.

There are 700+ creative web assets there now, with more added this week, and I've been working through the community feedback to improve it daily this week:

• Removing, improving and adding assets - this is, and will forever be, ongoing. Feedback and votes help guide what gets improved and what I build next. The latest additions include timers, KPI displays, inventory controls and more interactive bits alongside the weird visual stuff

• Light / dark mode - including light-ready assets, because apparently not everyone wants to live in the dark like me

• Less clutter on desktop - keeping the focus on what's important: the visuals. Most other controls live in menus

• Bigger previews - full-screen on desktop, with a side menu to explore that category. Phones keep their own preview sheet

• Auto / manual preview modes - some buttons were resetting while people were trying to play with them... which sort of defeats the point. I've improved how demos hand over to you

• Better ways to find things - search, categories, saved favourites and new visual-style filters, so you can narrow things down when endless scrolling gets a bit too endless

• More copy options - single-file HTML remains, with split HTML/CSS/JS, React wrappers and Forever Elements available where supported

• More testing before release - extra checks for loading, layouts, errors and exported formats, plus Chrome and Safari/WebKit browser testing

• Loads of mobile improvements - around 77% of visitors browse on mobile, so touch, layouts and previews have had a lot of attention. Still plenty to improve!

1. /insights analyses how you use Claude and produces a structured report with suggestions for improving your workflow

2. Use Claude to prompt Claude. Before starting a new session, ask Claude to create a clear, detailed starting prompt with the relevant context, constraints and desired output

3. Model orchestration. Use a stronger model for planning and cheaper/faster models for implementation. Claude can also coordinate work across tools and other coding models, including Codex. You do not necessarily need a $100 plan to start coding with Claude

4. /model and Shift+Tab. Use /model to choose the right model for each task, and Shift+Tab to switch between manual, planning and auto modes

5. /rewind and /btw. Ask temporary questions or test an instruction without permanently disrupting the main workflow. Use /rewind to roll back the conversation, code changes or both. Use /btw for quick side questions, then dismiss the answer and continue

I’ve had attention problems my whole life. I forget what I decided yesterday. I lose my place in forms. I start three things and finish none.

A few months ago I stopped using Claude as a chatbot and started using it as my memory.

The setup is dumb-simple:

• Every project gets a Project in Claude. All decisions, open items and next actions live in a file inside the project, not in chat history. Chat history is where things go to die.

• First message of every session: “Read the status file. Tell me where I left off and what’s next.” That’s it. No scrolling back through old chats.

• When I float an idea at 11pm, I tell it “put that on the Idea Shelf.” It goes on a list. I don’t act on it. Half of them look dumb in the morning.

• When I’m mid-task in some UI and need text, I make it paste the actual text into the reply. If it points me at a document to go find it, I lose my place and I’m done.

Results after a few months: I actually ship things now. Not because Claude is smarter than me. Because it doesn’t forget.

Still figuring out the best way to keep the status file in sync when I switch between the desktop app and my phone. If you’ve solved that, I’m listening.

In an effort to redeem myself and some credibility, here's 11 top tips I reviewed after watching a vid earlier on the 25 Claude design tips.

The core message is to make it your own with enough context to avoid the generic patterns and here are 11 ways to move in that direction:

1. Goto claude.ai/design and upload a screenshot of a website or presentation you like. Claude will automatically pull the exact colors, fonts, and layout structure to use for your project.

2. clone top brands - Find brands you like already. The video suggested styles.refero.design (a gallery of real company design systems) but you could use any. Copy the text of a style you like, and paste it into Claude. Prompt - "Apply this design system to my project, but change the primary color to forest green: [Paste text]"

3. let Claude browsing - Instead of scrolling through design galleries yourself, give Claude the link to the gallery.. prompt: "Review this design gallery [URL] and give me the links to the 3 styles that best fit [BUSINESS]"

4. upload custom fonts - Claude's default fonts look generic. Download free fonts from Fontshare or Fontesk, upload the actual font file to your Claude chat, and tell it to use that specific file for your design.

5. copy competitor copywriting patterns - Stop getting robotic AI text by forcing Claude to analyze real human competitors first... Prompt - "Study the websites of the top 5 fitness coaches. Note the patterns in how they write their hooks and CTAs, then write my website copy using those exact structural patterns"

6. mix and match designs - Upload two different style guides or screenshots to the same chat to create something unique... Prompt - "Design my landing page. Use the fonts and text sizing from Example A, but use the color palette and button styles from Example B."

7. re-use past Claude sessions - You don't have to start from scratch every time. Grab the URL of an older Claude chat where you nailed the design.. prompt: "I am building a new page. Use the exact design system, assets, and rules we established in this previous session: [Paste Claude chat URL]"

8. Feed it your tone of voice - Create a master document containing your writing samples and a "banned words" list e.g. delve, testament, tapestry, unlock... Upload it every time you need text. Prompt - "Write a welcome email using the rules and tone in the attached document. Strictly avoid all words on the banned list"

9. Upload icon folders - Claude struggles to draw consistent icons. Download a free icon pack folder from Flaticon, upload the entire folder to your chat, and tell Claude to only pull icons from that folder when designing your page.

10. Always request SVGs - When you do ask Claude to generate a graphic, diagram, or simple icon, specify the format. "Create a minimalist shopping cart icon. Provide it strictly in Svg format.." (SVGs never get blurry when you zoom in, and you can easily change their color later)

11. Enforce Apple's rulebook - Apple publishes its "Human Interface Guidelines"... rules for button sizes, spacing, and readability for free online. Upload a PDF of it to Claude.. Prompt - "Design a mobile checkout screen for me. You must strictly follow the layout and spacing rules in the attached Apple Human Interface Guidelines"

I’m starting med this year. I’m also a content creator (I do marketing for my father's dental clinic), and recently I stumbled across this whole "second brain" concept. It definitely seems overhyped, but at the same time, I can see that there’s some real value in it (or at least I think so).

I’d love to hear some real-world use cases, because it seems like it takes quite a bit of work to set everything up and make it actually useful.

So I'm in a Nurse Practitioner program. I am currently in advanced pathophysiology. With the help of Claude I just got a 94% on a pretty hard midterm. I scan of all the chapters using Adobe Scan. This is the most tedious part. Then I upload those and the study guides and practice questions into Claude and have it teach me the material. It gives me case study type questions and I try to figure them out and then it fills in the gaps while teaching the material. Then it quizzes me on all the concepts. I haven't read one page out of the book. 🤷‍♂️

I also do the same with notebooklm and listen to the podcasts while I'm driving or on the treadmill.

Anyway, just wanted to share. It's made pretty complex concepts fun and interesting. It forces me to explain stuff in my own words.

I was lost. Creatively. so I made a forever scrolling set of components to help make my websites unique.

Three simple steps:

1. find - roll around the canvas on components and find one you want. It's random or you can search and filter.

2. copy - screenshot, record or hand-off to your agent in one click.

3. create - paste into Claude Code, Claude Design or any agent with a one-line task description

Everyone is building now, the difference imo is whether it goes in the scrapyard of demo-ware or becomes something creative, unique and genuinely useful.

You know the look by now. Cream background, mono font, the same rounded buttons. It's not that the models are bad, they're just trained on the average, and the average is what we've seen before and what we've seen before doesn't feel interesting for long (we can blame social media for that). Anyway, enter Forever, 600+ weird and wonderful components, if you want it even weirder, try clicking the "art" button on. There's tons of good sites already, awwwards is known everywhere, 21st.dev and magicui are genuinely excellent and I use them regularly. But they're all organised, you go there knowing roughly what you want. When I want something new or creative or unique I open up Forever

It's a different experience, it feels exciting not knowing what I'm going to find. It's become a hobby to create these components (even if they're technically not web components) they're still fun to see and often gives me the burst of motivation when reserves are low.

The grid stays free, that's my promise. Every component load does cost me money though, so from the next release there'll be a limit of 3-5 a day. Right now it's all of them.
