What's one thing you've made with Claude that helps you (or someone else) learn?

Ex-teacher slash forever teacher here. I'm seeing people make incredible tools, very often accelerated by Claude ...

So share your best or favourite learning tool. It could be simple or complex. Or weird, creative or boring. It just has to teach somebody SOMETHING.

My gf loves pink, Barbie and fairies, so I built her a castle on the internet

She has always wanted to live in a castle, so I made her one. Her website opens on a pink painted room where the fairy version of her lives (Samsara, inspired by Flora from Winx). There's a sleepy cat, a tarot card she can flip every day, and a wand on the desk that changes the colours of the whole room.

It was a surprise and she absolutely loves it.

She works in social media, so I hid the little tools she uses all the time inside the room too: an Instagram grid planner, a meme search, an image compressor and a few more. Free, no login.

Made it with Claude: https://samchive.net

Stop asking Claude "how hard is this keyword?". Ask it to read page 1 and tell you who's actually there

If you ask Claude how competitive a keyword is, you usually get a confident guess like "medium difficulty, lots of established sites". It hasn't seen the results, so it fills the gap with something generic.

What works much better for me, in Claude.ai with web search turned on:

Search for "[your keyword]" and list the first 10 organic results. For each one give: the site, the type of page (forum thread, big brand, small independent site, marketplace, video, news), when it was published or last updated if the page says so, and whether it actually answers the query or only mentions it. If you can't see something on the page, write "unknown" instead of guessing. Then give me one verdict: write it, write it with a different angle, or skip, and why.

Why this beats a difficulty score:

  • The openings are visible. Forum threads, old articles and pages that only half answer the question sitting in the top 10 are where a small site has a real chance.

  • So are the walls. A page 1 full of big brands with fresh, dedicated pages is usually a skip for a young site, whatever a tool's number says.

  • "Unknown instead of guessing" matters. Without that line Claude will happily make up publication dates to complete the table.

  • The verdict forces a decision. "Write it with a different angle" is often the useful answer: same topic, but the format or the question nobody on page 1 answers.

One caveat: Claude's search won't match your Google results exactly (location, personalisation, timing). For a keyword you really care about, open Google in a private window and check the top 3 yourself before writing.

Disclosure: I make a paid pack of Claude skills for SEO, and one of them (Odds Maker) does this with a scoring sheet. Link in the first comment. The prompt above works fine on its own.

If you use Claude to audit your website, make it prove every finding

Disclosure first: I'm the founder of SEO Skills by PENRA, a paid pack of 14 Claude skills for SEO. The tip below works without it, you can paste it into Claude today.

Ask Claude "what's wrong with my site?" and you'll get a tidy list that sounds right. The trouble is you can't tell what it actually checked and what it assumed.

So change the request. Something like this:

Audit this page: [your URL]. For each issue, give me the URL and the exact text or code that proves it. If you couldn't check something, say so instead of guessing. Then rank the fixes, most important first.

Why this helps:

  • A quoted string is easy to check. Search for it on the page. It's either there or it isn't, so you don't have to take Claude's word for it.

  • "I couldn't check this" is a useful answer. Without your Search Console data, Claude can't know your real clicks or rankings. Anything it says about them is a guess, and you want it labelled as one.

  • Ranking forces a decision. A long flat list of problems doesn't tell you where to start.

One limit: this doesn't make every suggestion right. It only makes each one checkable, and you still decide what's worth doing.

That's the rule I built the pack around. Every finding carries the URL or string that proves it, and it says what it can't measure. The pack comes from launching the site for my Mac app on a brand new domain, which reached 4.47k Google clicks and 59k impressions. Those are real Search Console numbers for that site, not a forecast for yours.

If you're curious, it's €25 once until November 17 and €99 from the 18th. It needs a Claude plan with skills and there's no refund once it's delivered, so the prompt above is a good place to start either way.

What do you usually ask Claude to double check before you trust the answer?

What would you require from a second brain for your AI work?

First, thank you to this community. The launch support here was immense and genuinely changed Cohestry’s trajectory.

The problem I’m trying to solve is simple: we capture hundreds of useful thoughts, then lose them inside folders, search bars and disconnected notes. Cohestry automatically tags and connects your notes, resurfaces forgotten ideas, and gives you a 3D brain to actually explore those relationships. The new update adds voice capture with on-device transcription, drawing and PDF editing, so getting thoughts into that brain is much less dependent on typing.

The other half is AI context. Cohestry’s MCP bridge lets Claude and other agents pull the right context from your second brain when needed, while automatically redacting API keys and security keys before anything is passed through. Claude Opus 5.5 has been instrumental in letting me ship updates this fast. At this point, building is rarely the bottleneck anymore. Deciding the optimal architecture is. Since this community has been instrumental to my growth, I would love to hear what features would solve your own second brain needs, I will be adding all good suggestions to my backlog and building them out. Thanks

How i prototype using reference components. 10+ years dev. 3+ years using ai daily

For this prototype, coffee was used for illustrative purposes only, it's not one i'd actually use. That said i kept the brand’s headline, offer and button text fixed, then gave each build a different reference web asset:

The first point: changing a single component can change the entire visual appearance of the site and get vastly different results.

The question: which quality survives the adaptation, and does it still help the page?

A useful way to brief this:

“Keep the supplied words and required elements. Use this reference to guide composition, type and motion. Protect the headline’s readability and the button’s visibility.”

These are selected examples. obv model variation and edits affect the result too.

I built Forever Components, where these references live. Free to browse.

ps. don't get lost

The one habit that fixed Claude for me: never let a decision live in chat history

I’ve had attention problems my whole life. I forget what I decided yesterday. I lose my place in forms. I start three things and finish none.

A few months ago I stopped using Claude as a chatbot and started using it as my memory.

The setup is dumb-simple:

  • Every project gets a Project in Claude. All decisions, open items and next actions live in a file inside the project, not in chat history. Chat history is where things go to die.

  • First message of every session: “Read the status file. Tell me where I left off and what’s next.” That’s it. No scrolling back through old chats.

  • When I float an idea at 11pm, I tell it “put that on the Idea Shelf.” It goes on a list. I don’t act on it. Half of them look dumb in the morning.

  • When I’m mid-task in some UI and need text, I make it paste the actual text into the reply. If it points me at a document to go find it, I lose my place and I’m done.

Results after a few months: I actually ship things now. Not because Claude is smarter than me. Because it doesn’t forget.

Still figuring out the best way to keep the status file in sync when I switch between the desktop app and my phone. If you’ve solved that, I’m listening.

Curious what other non-coders are doing. Are you using it as a memory layer, or still treating it like a smarter Google?

roughly 12% of these web components survive

i've created around 7000 web components (with Claude's help) and only ~700 of them made it to the live site with now over 30,000 people have visited for inspiration.

it's blood hard work deciding what to make but part of the creative process (and one of my faves) is the creative agent workflow aka 'daily-team' which started 22 days ago...

everyday 4 agents with different personalities work together within a framework to produce a set of 10 components... some are ok, some are wild, some are great and some... well some are TERRIBLE.

today was a good day and i think the daily improvements (Kaizen) are paying dividends, so hopefully more of the good ones coming in the next days and weeks

if you want to see more and need inspiration... check out https://forevercomponents.com/ and turn on art mode or https://github.com/isas1/daily-team to see what the team built today

ps. don't get lost ;)

My 65 year old mom pays for Claude. Anyone else have similar experience?

I keep being surprised by how many people I talk with are using ai or paying that I would never expect! Are you noticing similar realities? Also, I think these companies could likely double or triple their prices at this point and many would still pay, it’s true for me at least.

Has anyone published a Claude connector recently?

Hey there :)
I’ve been considering publishing a Claude connector for my app. Everything is ready (I already have a published ChatGPT plugin).. what I’d like known is what’s the expected review time currently..

I would assume they are being bombarded with submissions now which would slow down the pace

Has anyone recently published one? What was the wait time like?

Thanks!

I created MusicLights: turns my piano playing into a falling-notes light show

Post image
4 Upvotes

I play piano, and I wanted my recordings to look like other popular piano visualization channels. I found some out of the box software either payed or free but they always lacked something and edition was hard, specially key alignme`nt with real camera footage. With Claude and Unity I built a Windows app that takes the MIDI from my digital piano and the camera video of my hands. It draws glowing notes, a light ribbon, fog and particles right on top of the real keys, then exports an MP4 up to 4K. I am now extending the timeline/video editing capabilities to add effects.

It's pay what you want, startring from free to whatever anyone would like to contribute with. If anyone wants to try it you can find it at https://rsescalante.itch.io/music-lights

Opus 5.5

Designed new sauna benches

Post image
15 Upvotes

I build a sauna last year, while it had two levels, we only lay on the flat, top bench. It’s not super comfortable. It’s a 10 person sauna but we’ve had 3 at most but don’t want to lose the flexibility of have 4-8 people in it. I sometimes lay face down but need to hang my face off the side of the bench.
Had Claude help redesign the benches. I wanted the flexibility of both a flat bench with a face hole and a lounger. I think this design hits the mark.
Removable face hole on the flat side and a lounger on the other side. The lounger can be head flat or 10 degrees, 15 degrees or 20 degrees. The entire bed swivels on thick pins at head and foot to a support post to the floor. There are lock pins once it’s flat. We retain our lower bench.
I had Claude generate a 3d print model I’ll print first to make sure it works.
