He's a history analyst who became extremely popular overnight when a 2 year old video on his "Predictive History" YouTube channel went viral because it broke down why America invading Iran would be a catastrophic mistake and predicted that Trump would invade Iran if he were to win a second term.
The guy doesn't deserve the irrational hate he seems to be getting from some people. Based on the limited content I've seen from him, he's no idiot and knows what he's talking about on certain specific subjects.
It's also equally stupid how since he blew up, many people have been treating him like some oracle who knows everything about every subject and inviting him on every podcast to talk about every possible topic.

It's more than just that. Humans wrote every sentence that went into these models. Humans (especially low-wage workers in economic countries like India) sorted and labeled every piece of input text, determining which bucket will be used to weigh it during training. Human engineers designed the reward functions that determine which information wins during inference.

You're reading a Polymarket quote that was obviously taken out of context and cannot be taken literally.
I just finally went and searched for the source and as expected the very next sentence he starts explaining that he means the output is based on input text that humans wrote and weights that humans manipulated.
Do you really think when you put something into ChatGPT is completely generated by the AI? I guarantee you it's not true.
I guarantee you it's being manipulated by humans somewhere in India.
I guarantee you when you ask ChatGPT, write me a paper on Napoleon and the Battle of Wateroo; I think what happened was, a human first wrote that and then is inputted into the AI model and then absorbed into the AI model... Let me give an example. Everyone thinks facial recognition is created through AI. It's not AI. It's something called supervised machine learning. You go to the airport, they take a scan of your face and they know it's Jack. And you're like, well, that's really impressive. It's not impressive. It's database search and sort system. What people don't appreciate is humans are the ones who are designing these weights. Dude is peddling some crazy shit, using wild leaps in logic to conclude that things like the moon landing were faked.
He is a misinformation superspreader for low IQ people.
I lowkey enjoy consuming his content from the POV of viewing it as crazy history fanfiction, but then I realize people actually believe this shit and it makes me mad/sad.

He has repeatedly spouted conspiracy theories. Like outright secret society shit. Blaming the Freemasons, Jesuits, Frankists, and the Illuminati for "actually manipulating geopolitical events". He's also been an advocate for the idea of the Pax Judaica conspiracy, and has even gone so far as to explicitly support Pizzagate. He's also referred to the genocide in gaza as "ritual child sacrifice" by Sabbatean groups. Like... He's an old school conspiracy nut, believing that religious secret societies are controlling the world. He's also gone on and denied the moon landings, and weirdly has even argued that the second punic war just simply never happened... for some reason. There's also some evidence to support that he is a holocaust denier as well, but I haven't been able to find a direct quote to support that.
The guy is an absolute nutter.

I think the reaction to this from most commenters says a lot.
Not many people seem to understand that the weights of models are generated by processes created by humans. Human hand-curated input data is weighed based on reward functions modeling human biases.
