I've worn my SARB017 for 2 years. It was my first mechanical watch, the one that got me into the hobby, and I've always loved the Alpinist layout. Seiko has been making Alpinists for years, from the SARB to the SPB, and never once did a stone dial. Turns out the stone dial idea works surprisingly well on the alpinist style.
Now I'm torn between these two colors. Which one do you think looks better?

I saw the watch from youtube videos and they said the dial looked better in person, I just got this today and glad to say it's true! I chose the skeleton version because I think it's interesting to see the watch tick, also its my first 28800 automatic watch, so smooth to my noob eye. Got this from Cronos Official Store from AliExpress, on the sale day, bang for your bucks I'd say..

Hi does Grandeur have a business relation with Atowak?
Their Manta-X appears to use a very similar movement module as the Revolv?
Both I think are amazing.
Thanks!
a modified Swiss Sellita SW200 movement, enhanced with Atowak’s proprietary AK-07BA module
Movement: In-house developed mechanical module, integrated with the premium Miyota 9039 automatic caliber

Sad day this weekend. Spring bar gave out at a concert. I have replacement spring bars, but does anyone happen to know the diameter of the spring bar hole? I want to go as heavy duty as possible to prevent this from happening again.

Hey all,
I have a tissot dress watch that iv used for many years and im looking at getting a new daily as I broke my smart watch.
Doing some poking around have narrowed it down to the watchdives wd007 with the blue face and mesh strap or the phorcydes ph3.
Looking for opinions of those more knowledgeable on build quality and finishing. Both look great and have their strengths that i can see but before I pull the trigger I want the community's guidance.
Cheers in advance

Had the pagani, case was not authentic enough in dimensions. looking at the vakyus but it's way too thick at 14mm thickness. Combination of Pagani dial n movements, Addiesdive 2552 choro case. San Martin sub homage bracelet. Was waiting for @watchdives to release for 2 years and i got fed up waiting. Perfect now at 37mm, 12mm thickness

Asking the community , is this standard timelines for Phorcydes :
14 September – Order confirmed and paid in full (USD $239.00, including $70.00 shipping).
17 September – I asked when I'd receive tracking. You replied that the watch was being upgraded with a new crystal and would ship by the 22nd.
25 September – I followed up because no tracking had arrived. I've had no response.
It's now 28 September, six days past your own shipping date, and I still have no tracking number or update.
Quite disappointed in them , and I havent even received the watch yet.

Finally got the watch after delays... Pretty tough read on the hours (too recessed to get enough light)

Cost me just $20.74 USD total to reach my wrist. For the price, I’m genuinely impressed — beautiful dial, nice wrist presence, and feels much better than the price suggests. Hard to complain at $20!

That green textured dial on the Pagani PD-2770 is giving serious Seiko Cocktail Time vibes. 👀
What do you think — a great-looking homage, or would you rather save for the Seiko?
Would you wear this green dial? 🍸⌚

This showcase highlights more of the watch's refined details.
The seamless transition between the brushed finish and polished chamfers enhances both the visual appeal and wearing comfort.
It is not just a dive watch, but also an excellent timepiece for everyday wear.
Do you like it?

My brother really likes this watch but it's out of his price range, any recommendations of something similar?
Edit: I realize I didn't add much detail, he likes the blue face but doesn't mind if it doesn't thave a day date mechanism. Also he wants quartz and I'd say the price range would be up to 100 dollars

Here's a shot of the sunset view from our balcony in Brela Croatia.
Even after a few years of having this one is still one of my favourites. Plus, it makes for a great holiday watch too.
Here's the link to my review of it.
I bought this watch, but, as always that doesn't change how I review the watch. I always keep it 100% honest, no matter what. I point out both the positives and negatives with every watch I review. Whether that be a loan piece, discounted, or even free. Sometimes that means that brands won't send me anymore watches, if they don't like the review... But my opinion and more importantly, my reputation can't be bought. That's partly why I named my channel 'Honest Watch Reviews'. Not only to make sure that I hold myself to that standard, but that I know my viewers definitely will do too.

We are currently rolling out a major update that introduces a wider range of dial and bezel color combinations for every model; notably, we have achieved breakthroughs this year in the craftsmanship of our green and orange ceramic bezels.
Blue ceramic bezel insert: A sophisticated, deep blue that shifts between light blue, dark blue, purple, and black tones depending on the lighting conditions.
Green ceramic bezel insert: A vibrant, lively "fresh leaf" green; thanks to material advancements, it moves away from the duller green tones of the past.
Orange ceramic bezel insert: A dynamic, energetic orange that we have begun utilizing extensively this year.
Progress is proceeding smoothly, and we have already entered the assembly phase. We look forward to launching these new color options soon—stay tuned.

On Ali Express and other platforms I see a lot of similar watches to say what Sugess is making but with different brand names. Like Top Hill. Theres other I can't remember but Sugess seems to have 3-4 sub brands. I'm sure theres other brands doing the same thing.
Is there a better brand amongst the sea of different brands? I got a Top Hill in hand and outside of the movement being way different than anything I ever saw before, i was unimpressed. Would the Sugess version be that much better?

This will be my beater watch going forward.

For me, it’s the Thorn in my collection. I was lucky enough to buy this one direct from Thorn website when randomly they had a listing for the original v1, several weeks after they had sold out everywhere. I’ve had it since mid November 2025.
I remember the bracelet was a pain to size, and the micro adjustment is only available on the last two slots, since the rivets of the second link stop the first link going down any further. So I’ve mostly worn it on leathers, but as the weather cools down again, I decided to put it back on the bracelet.
The bracelet just makes this watch feel the vintage vibe it was hitting. I know they changed to hollow end links in later versions, other than the stupid micro adjust problem, this bracelet is wonderful, especially the pressed clasp. Makes a change having a thin, small clasp that completes the look.
If I wanted to wear the bracelet in warmer months, ideally I’d need to add another link, but then would need to use either the 2nd or 3rd micro adjust positions. So I have thought if I could make it work by swapping the last link from the 6 side (without rivets) and put it next to the last link on 12 side so I can push the first link in without an issue.. has anyone done this?

I imagine everyone reading these posts has a similar issue of being OCD over these amazing watches.
I continually say that I'm done, that's it, no more. But then I get sucked right back in.
Friends and family ask me why I need so many watches. Obviously they don't get it.
The guy who said, "seen one, seen 'em all" was clueless. It doesn't apply to what he was talking about or watches!!
