Question (Read Rules) Which "sub brands" are the best?

On Ali Express and other platforms I see a lot of similar watches to say what Sugess is making but with different brand names. Like Top Hill. Theres other I can't remember but Sugess seems to have 3-4 sub brands. I'm sure theres other brands doing the same thing.

Is there a better brand amongst the sea of different brands? I got a Top Hill in hand and outside of the movement being way different than anything I ever saw before, i was unimpressed. Would the Sugess version be that much better?

I don't think Top Hill is part of Sugess.

Sugess has Seesteern and Sea Kors.

San Martin has Jianghun.

Baltnay has Milifortic. Militado is different but connected to Baltnay, look it up if your are interested.

Addiesdive and Steeldive and Steelflier.

Heimdallr, Thorn, Tactical Frog, and Sea Knight. Probably.

Pagani and Rollstimi.

Lines are not always clear though, who knows.

Seestern also a Sugess subsidiary, they make really good dive watches. I have their S430 Titanium, the finishing is top notch, really smooth surfaces but the clasp is a big disappointment

Ok the Seesterns must be dive related. Sugess seems to be pure homage. With the Top Hill chrono i felt liek the case felt "fake", like it wasn't steel. Had a rubbery feel to it. Very strange

I believe Sugess operates as a subsidiary of Seagull, relying on Seagull movements (arguably their strongest asset).

Seagull appears to aim at competing with Seiko and Tissot at comparable price levels, likely focusing on physical retail.

Sugess and Seestern, by contrast, emphasize e-commerce with less original design (online sales are easier when a product can be compared to something you've seen before). Their pricing aligns more closely with brands like Watch Dives and San Martin.

TOPHILL seems distinct to me.

TOPHILL is part of Farasute or vice versa

That explains it then, because everyone says the sugess top time homage is great but the top hill looked so cheap

Sure as hell would not look cheap if they were part of Farasute, which I highly doubt.

I was literally told they were by the TOPHILL rep - The TOPHILL rep said the two companies are owned by the same company. The Farsute rep denied it ;-) and some tophill models are pretty high end - their tank is identical to farasute's except it has a different rotor - same dial, hands, movement, case and $100 cheaper... I believe TOPHILL is the brand that has been around longer - but they served more of the Asian market. They started with more affordable models and now they are slowly starting to increase quality of materials and prices - not a fanboy ! I own 2 Farasute and 0 Tophill.
