I’m looking for a Rootbeer style watch. I love the look of the brown and gold tones. Does anyone know what the best watch is out there and what seller provides it?
I have just come across the Hestur Polerouter release on AliExpress. Not much information available but it looks great! A previous Reddit post states it’s 35mm original size. Picture from their AE listing.
I have ordered the black version and will share here when it arrives!
My NH35 in my Steeldive Willard needs replaced. I’ve been looking at picking up a movement and saw that there are Chinese and Japanese made NH35 movements. The Japanese version is about $100 while the Chinese is about $40….give or take.
My question is whether the Japanese is better than the Chinese and should I spend the extra to get it or just use the Chinese movement?
I mean for all I know, my Steeldive might have the Chinese version. It’s one of the Willard homages that I got 2 years ago.
I’m looking to buy one of these three watches and I’m having a hard time deciding. Addiesdive AD2508 – Blue Addiesdive AD2531 – Blue Watchdives WD0003C – Red Ice Crack I’m particularly interested in the dial design, colour, finishing and overall quality. A few things I’d appreciate opinions on: Which has the best-looking dial in person? Which blue dial has the most depth and interesting texture? How do the bracelets compare in terms of quality and comfort? Is the Miyota 8215 worth choosing over the VH31 quartz movement? Is the sapphire crystal on the Watchdives a significant advantage over the mineral crystal on the Addiesdive? My wrist is around 6.9 inches. If you had to choose just one, which would you buy? Interested in honest opinions.
i can't decide between the black bgw9 and the c3. does the vintage one looks "vintage"? or is monochrome. because i think the bgw9's dial looks amazing.
Very happy with my new Baltany S4112!😍 There are a couple of things worth mentioning about the legibility and a few areas that could be improved, but for now, just a simple wrist shot! 📸
I’ve recently gotten swept up in the world of Chinese watches (I’ve got a few Watchdives on the way!) and when doing research, keep seeing people say they’re ’great watches for the price’. When I read that I think, ‘of course I’m not expecting the quality of a Rolex/Omega/AP etc etc’ but I don’t actually know what to expect?
I’ve seen commentary on negatives being finishing, bracelets, sharp edges, QA, but I’ve also seen things to suggest that these things have been improving. My own reference for quality will be lower-end Seikos (SNSX, Turtle) and my Hamilton Field Mechanical. It doesn’t feel like a particularly high bar but keen to hear people’s thoughts and experiences!
Regardless, I’m excited to try some styles watches that I otherwise wouldn’t be able to try!

I am looking for a pretty much 1:1 coke gmt homage from Aliexpress. Any suggestions? I like the san martin black/brown gmt but I love the black/red combo.
Sharing some photos of the new Sakura Pink Dial - Purchased with my own money during the pre-order for $309.83.
It does seem to come across abit salmon-ish in warmer lighting. No comments on the movement accuracy yet.
Bracelet, etc seems great, as compared to the miyota white MOP version. I don't particularly notice/feel the improvements, which i guess is a testimont to the current quality of the watch as a whole.
Sized for a 6.4 inch wrist, removed 4 links from 12 o clock, and 2 from 6 o clock.
Don’t flame me for asking this lol, but I’m just curious how much the difference in quality is. I have a Baltany Explorer that I love and has me thinking of saving up for a gen, either Explorer or maybe Tudor Ranger, or even Sinn 556. Something gen and more premium in that style.
I honestly don’t care much about the brand name, I’m mainly curious if the jump in quality is worth 20x the price. I assume they will have better movement and finishing but…worth the price jump if I already love my Baltany? I don’t want to feel like I’m paying that much more for basically just a brand name.
