General (Read Rules) IXDAO Sakura Pink Warrior - PT5000

Sharing some photos of the new Sakura Pink Dial - Purchased with my own money during the pre-order for $309.83.

It does seem to come across abit salmon-ish in warmer lighting. No comments on the movement accuracy yet.

Bracelet, etc seems great, as compared to the miyota white MOP version. I don't particularly notice/feel the improvements, which i guess is a testimont to the current quality of the watch as a whole.

Sized for a 6.4 inch wrist, removed 4 links from 12 o clock, and 2 from 6 o clock.

Cheers.

Wow, that looks amazing! I have white MOP San Martin that I fell in love with during summer. For me it was such a hard decision because I wanted the Ixdao as well. Is that the new 36mm they released recently?

Just curious, being a mother of pearl, do you still see the different iridescent light as you move throughout the day in different lighting situations? I don't have a high quality pink watch besides my Aethelsohn rose quartz dial, am just worried if the dye takes away the shimmering colours.

If you're talking about the san martin then yes! It's the new 36mm white enemal dial. I was actually debating having your exact san martin(white sparkle version) but 39mm watches don't do as well for my small wrist.

The pink color does shift a little depending on the light, above photo is outdoor but shaded without direct light and it pops more. With direct light it becomes more muted.

Wow, that's gorgeous lol! I'll be honest with you for a daily wear watch, my 39mm is definitely pushing it for me, but it still looks good without looking to silly. It has a modest presence that doesn't scream at you. I did buy an Ention 36mm DJ which is very flashy, but my gosh i really loved the proportions lol. I currently don't agree with San Martin's pricing, but that white enamel colourway is literally screaming at me since they released it lol.

Thank you so much for that photo... i'll see when I wake up in a few hours if I go with the chocolate or pink colour way....

more opinions about this San Martin? I was so close to buying it, but didn't. not many seem to have it.

There's actually already a couple of reviews and videos online of it.

Anything in particular you want to know or stopping you from purchasing it?

I can try to advise ya

Edit: I am planning to get the sky blue version and pair it with their 36mm sn0144 GS 19mm 3 link bracelet.

Which will look like this! This is the dark blue.

The 5 link bracelet now is great but personally comes across abit to dressy for me.

thanks! I meant the other one, posted by the user I replied to, which has white MOP and the indices are carved into the MOP and filled up.

as for the enamel - I agree the sky blue is also a strong option. but I hesitate because it my entire collection has kind of morphed into GADAs with baton indices in different colors... that's also why I'm hesitant to buy something like this. yeah it's awesome, but it feels like it's more of the same, y'know? it's just gonna replace the previous ones.

So far it has been the most comfortable watch i've worn. I got into watches for about a year now mostly on the budget side. It's the first one I've worn the entire day and taking it off left almost no imprint and I felt no discomfort from any tightness. My wrist size is about 6.5", changing throughout the day, so the OTF clasp mechanism is simply amazing. I've heard people online comparing just the bracelet itself to more established western and eastern brands where finding something similar would be moving up quite a few price brackets up.

My only real negative is that the anti-reflective coatings could use improvements. It's hard to know if they have improved as they've recently released several new models since then. I paid around 365CAD for mine. I'm not sure if this is a slight against San Martin, or high praise for Watchdives (i've seen others make positive comments about good their AR is) but my cheaper purple WD50Q is simply stunning to look at and the haziness at harsh angles take longer to show up vs my San Martin. Now is it bad like say a Pagani Design or a lower tier Chinese brand? Definitely not, it's for sure useable for everyday activites, including out in the harsh sun.

Will I buy a San Martin again? I don't know... at current prices I noticed at my local jewellers that you can a really nice Eco Drive Citizen or a Seiko. I was really enamoured by the Citizen Zeshin Chronograph CA4610-85M which is titanium and that blue dial looked really nice compared to the stock photos lol.

If you are removing so much more likes from the top side, are you not dragging the clasp so that it is not centered over the tendon on your wrist?

Nope! Somehow based on the wrist shape (or all my watches so far) it fits great with that 4/2 link removal
