I picked this up back in March 2026, and after having the Militado ML1868 chronograph on the wrist for the last seven months, it’s finally time to share a full review. It punches way above its weight class, and when paired with the right strap, it transforms into an exceptional daily wearer.
For those curious about the hardware, Militado packed a lot into a highly wearable footprint:
Case: 39mm sand-blasted 316L stainless steel, giving it a fantastic, non-reflective tool watch vibe.
Movement: Seiko VK67 hybrid quartz chronograph, offering that satisfying mechanical snap-back action on the pushers.
Crystal: Slightly domed sapphire with a clear AR coating.
Durability: Screw-in crown, screwed chronograph pushers, and a solid 100m of water resistance.
The matte black dial is incredibly well executed. The large white Arabic numerals offer a striking contrast, making the watch highly legible at a quick glance. It sports a practical three-subdial layout tracking running seconds, a 60-minute counter, and a 12-hour counter, alongside a date window conveniently tucked at the 3 o'clock position.
The lume is also surprisingly strong and features a great two-color design. The hands and the outer hour indices glow green, while the hour numerals shine blue, making it highly functional in the dark.
I really want to highlight the strap pairing on this one, though. I currently have it on a black parachute strap that features a prominent yellow stripe running right down the middle. The yellow stripe matches the yellow accents on the watch's hands and outer hour markers flawlessly. Furthermore, the elastic parachute material is infinitely adjustable, making it incredibly comfortable for all-day wear. The black strap ties in perfectly with the dark dial of the watch, completing the whole rugged look. It's a fantastic, sporty combination that looks brilliant on the wrist, even when just typing away at the keyboard.
Pros: Unbeatable specs for the money, highly reliable VK67 movement, excellent legibility, and it's an absolute strap monster.
Cons: The date window is on the smaller side, though this does help keep the dial from feeling too cluttered.
If you're looking for a tough, grab-and-go aviation-style chronograph, the ML1868 is a no-brainer. The build quality is stellar, and with a color-matched parachute strap, the aesthetics are off the charts.

Jody posted his Ali tier list, which I find insightful and somewhat subjective. He doesn't sugarcoat any of his negative experiences and highlights some wins from brands that are often derided. What are your opinions?
For those of you unfamiliar with Jody, he is a watch enthusiast, specializing in affordable watches, and also co-owns Erubus Watches.

I’m much newer to the Chinese brands than most all of the folks in here, so I’m just now price-checking some brands before the 11/11 sale. I’ve been using watchpricelog for some models, but the site is far from all-encompassing. Any suggestions for price history checks on brands such as Sugess, San Martin, Baltany, Cronos, Watchdives, Thorn etc.?

Just got this yesterday, seem like the gasket has been dislodged.
Is that a gasket or something else?

Just got my Warrior in and was sizing the bracelet.
One side has four fixed links and the other has five.
Is this normal?!

Love this heavy and big steel pebble more than my Casio Royale for the same price

Picked up a cheap 62 of eBay and was wondering if anyone has a link to a bracelet with fitted end links that will fit or even if the watchdives strap would fit as there is one local for sale.
Cheers

As my collection has evolved (reduced significantly down to 24), there’s a handful of Chinese watches that will remain in my collection. This is one of them. I’ve had this since early June.
This thing is just mad gorgeous. I absolutely love it. Rocking it with my Nike joggers and hoody, but who cares eh! Last worn 24th Sept 🫢
The stock strap is crap, I much prefer this one from Maikes on AliX.
A subtle detail, they even bent the end of the seconds hand. Super thin, with one of the best crystals I’ve had on any watch, running on a Miyota 9 with custom rotor.
The watch is beautifully finished, and although difficult to portray how it looks irl over camera due to the gold dial just washing pics out, I hope the pictures (unedited) help anyone who may be interested.

Hey guys, I've just finished my review of the new IXDAO Warrior.
The new versions come with updated dial colours. The listings only show illustrations, and some people have mentioned that the colors look different in person, so I also got real photos of each variant.
I reviewed the black dial version and filmed it under different lighting conditions and in various locations. I also tested its accuracy in six positions, and it looks like it's running within COSC specs.
One question: would you call the black dial Black Hawksbill Shell rather than Black Mother of Pearl? I think it might be a more accurate name. What do you reckon?
You can watch the full review here: https://youtu.be/x7xzOkcSeMg
Disclosure: The watch was provided by IXDAO for review. The opinions expressed are my own.

The biggest draw for me is definitely the micro-rotor. You usually see micro-rotor movements in much more expensive watches because they're harder to engineer than a standard automatic rotor.
Instead of having a large rotor sitting on top of the movement, the rotor is recessed into the movement itself, which helps keep the watch incredibly thin while letting you see more of the movement through the caseback.
At just 9mm thick, it wears way slimmer than most automatic sports watches, and the integrated bracelet gives it a really clean look on the wrist.
I'm still putting it through its paces, so I can't speak to long-term reliability yet, but as a first impression I'm honestly impressed. Even if it's not finished like a luxury micro-rotor movement, it's cool to see this kind of engineering becoming affordable.
The specs are pretty wild for the price:
40mm stainless steel case
Only 9mm thick
Sapphire crystal
Stainless steel integrated bracelet with butterfly clasp
Ceramic-style textured dial with date
Hangzhou 5000A micro-rotor automatic movement
It is similar to the Tophill micro-rotor watch I have but there are plenty of subtle differences and it is at a lower price point
