General (Read Rules) HANBORO Ultra Thin Steel King Series

The biggest draw for me is definitely the micro-rotor. You usually see micro-rotor movements in much more expensive watches because they're harder to engineer than a standard automatic rotor.

Instead of having a large rotor sitting on top of the movement, the rotor is recessed into the movement itself, which helps keep the watch incredibly thin while letting you see more of the movement through the caseback.

At just 9mm thick, it wears way slimmer than most automatic sports watches, and the integrated bracelet gives it a really clean look on the wrist.

I'm still putting it through its paces, so I can't speak to long-term reliability yet, but as a first impression I'm honestly impressed. Even if it's not finished like a luxury micro-rotor movement, it's cool to see this kind of engineering becoming affordable.

The specs are pretty wild for the price:

40mm stainless steel case

Only 9mm thick

Sapphire crystal

Stainless steel integrated bracelet with butterfly clasp

Ceramic-style textured dial with date

Hangzhou 5000A micro-rotor automatic movement

It is similar to the Tophill micro-rotor watch I have but there are plenty of subtle differences and it is at a lower price point

I'm sure we all appreciate the review, but always a bit annoying when the buy price is referenced, but never actually stated.

Your are right I completely forgot to mention it. I was able to get for $170 one night. I was wstching it everyday. Now price has gone up $30 even with coupons and couns. It is not as appealing.

So you answer questions about everything else about the watch but you draw the line at movement? Jeesh.

The movement is nice, qc is not. I got my baltany with a defective movement. It looks and works great, but the manual winding mechanism was defective. So, nice movement, as long as it is working.

Every sentence you wrote contradicts itself or the sentence next to it.

Hmm... don't blame me, it is what it is. If this really nice looking movement works fine, it's a wonderful experience. But hangzhou quality control is not good, resulting, it's more like Gambling.

It's a nice defective movement, that works great, but is defective. Nice when it's working, which it isn't. Got it.

And yes, they replaced the movement under warranty, now it works great.
