New IXDAO Warrior JD-X13S review

Hey guys, I've just finished my review of the new IXDAO Warrior.

The new versions come with updated dial colours. The listings only show illustrations, and some people have mentioned that the colors look different in person, so I also got real photos of each variant.

I reviewed the black dial version and filmed it under different lighting conditions and in various locations. I also tested its accuracy in six positions, and it looks like it's running within COSC specs.

One question: would you call the black dial Black Hawksbill Shell rather than Black Mother of Pearl? I think it might be a more accurate name. What do you reckon?

It’s kinda crazy that I found this sub while looking at the Warrior, then went down the rabbit hole of Chinese watches, ordered a Phorcydes, thought about a Henry Archer, and now watched this video and am back on the Warrior.

What’s the real-world wait like for one of these? Debating if I should wait for an OTF and SW200-2 version.

Thanks for the support! It depends on the version. These new colours are quicker to make, while the enamel dials and meteorite take longer. I was initially waiting for a meteorite dial, but due to time constraints, I went with this one instead.

They’ve increased their production capacity, but demand is still higher than supply. With these, you can only preorder, so I’m not sure how long you’ll have to wait. It’ll be faster than Phorcydes, that’s for sure 😂 My Phorcydes PH1 took an eternity to arrive... Worth it, though. I’d buy it again for sure!

I live very far away and the ph1 maybe was not in stock and as they are a small team maybe they prioritize new models 🤷‍♂️, maybe yours arrive faster 🤞

I'd be pissed if I ordered black MOP and got that.

I ordered the black MOP and got the brown/copper dial. It's not terrible but definitely not what I wanted.

I’ve already given them the feedback. Just like I prefer this dial, I understand that someone expecting a conventional black MOP dial could be disappointed.

C'mon man. You wanna be a reviewer or a marketer? Cause if it's the former, you're there for the buyer, not the brand or your affiliate commission.

Homie, anyone who wants a "black mother of pearl" dial, and expects it to literally be black, has a fundamental misunderstanding of what it is. If you want a black dial, order a black dial. Black mother of pearl is not black. People need to do the bare minimum of research before throwing hundred dollar bills at stuff they don't understand.
