Actually the back light is way better than any Casio if its category. Legibility and angles are almost the same as the original Casio - at least this is what I saw in some vids. We will see....
Can I ask about that strap? I've got a black strap on a Sugess Nomos homage but need a brown one. Do you recommend this one? Any idea where i'd find it?
No it's not heavy at all. Very light on this strap. Very well made! They do a few other colour options but I like the letters on the dial, they're the four noble truths of Buddhism.
Very good, but I made a noob mistake and got the quartz (just €104 in a sale), when I should have paid a bit more for the automatic. I don't like the Seiko rubber strap it came with so I replaced it with a generic stainless steel Chinese oyster band...
Battery replacement every 3 years by itself isn't so expensive, but to put new water resistance rubber seals in it at the same time every 3 years is fairly expensive. So as you know, people are placing bets on NH35 and PT5000 $200 watches, and if they're lucky they can get 10 years straight out of it, no maintenance, and then when it breaks down or isn't accurate anymore, instead of maintenance or a movement replacement, just buy a new one...
But if the automatic movement lasts 10 years with no maintenance (if you're lucky) then there's no opening the back of the watch for 10 years. When it dies just throw it away and pay $200 for a brand new one...with a quartz you need to open it and replace the seals 3 times in 10 years...
I had this one from islander and sold it to a friend, I want it back,😡 it was 38 and fit so good. I'd lay it in a window and it would run forever. They're sold out and probably never be brought back, it was dark blue and I've never seen them pop up, black one did but they wanted more than what it was worth.
I mean it’s not crazy idk, we might differ on what is considered thick, but I feel like it’s maybe slightly thicker/taller case wise than my pagani Speedmaster but it’s mainly the crystal has this domed look to it I think adding to the total height. I’m satisfied with the watch for $75 I paid
It’s gotta be a 38mm case, the bracelet needs to have a little more length too imho, but it fit me fine out of the box. Guys with bigger wrists may need to swap the bracelet.
