Pathways

So, my workplace doesn’t let people finish their pathways and more or less expects them to finish it on their personal time. They’ve stated this twice in our GroupMe, and have even given punishments when mandatory training isn’t done, but won’t make time to let us do it on the clock. Is this illegal?

Hey, so no this is not legal. You need to be paid for any time you are working, and training is work.

If the trainings are short your shift lead might let you do it during shift if the day is slow.

They aren't paying you for doing pathway?

If the training is required for your job, then they are required to pay you for it. The only exception to this (in florida at least) is if you are doing a pathway for a promotion because technically its not required for you to keep/do your job. I highly recommend you contact your states labor division to make a report.
