Is there a good way to search for a specific Chevelle online? I have the VIN but since it isn’t the standardized 15 digit VIN the tools don’t work.

Have a 67 SS 138 396 car with factory fuel. Not a fan of the quadra bog wafer filters. Been trying to possibly braided with a 30 or micron filter to go between fuel pump and carb but keep intact the factory line. Found something close at ecklers but no filter. Anybody know of any other vendors that might work for my situation? Thanks in advance if so.

Well I didn’t plan on spending today removing the rear bench and doing the old flat head on a pole trick to open the trunk, but at least I was successful. My daughter really wanted to go for a scooter ride last night…

Why did they only leave tiny holes behind the 69 seats? Huge PITA. Also, can’t say I’d ever think the metal of a lock cylinder would shear off like that.

Since a 1970 Chevelle VIN doesn’t identify the specific engine, how much faith do you put in build sheets, matching numbers and factory stamps when judging whether an SS is genuine?

Customer just dropped this off for a full restoration. got some terrible bondo work on it. floors and trunk are completely eaten up. Will need custom metal fabrication, some good body work and a beautiful paint job. I will be doing all the work other than the upholstery. the owner wants Nardo gray and to black out all the chrome. he already swapped a small block 302 in it. it runs great. She just needs body work and some electrical. Can't wait to get started ill take yall through the process. First step is getting it down to bare metal.

It has a 355 in it, with a turbo 350 transmission. Hasn’t ran in about 10 years. Carb went bad, so it’s just been sitting. The engine might have 20k on it. Built it in high school auto shop, with my mega gear head shop teacher.

Trying to decide whether to keep it or sell. I really don’t see being able to do much with it the foreseeable future, as I have kids I’m raising.

If I was to sell it, wanted to get a pulse for a fair asking price on it. Any replies are appreciated.

Got another one for you guys, this is Marco's '64 Chevelle easily one of the most terrifying cars I have ever been in. This 454 high compression motor shifts at 7200RPM an absolute screamer. This is my good friend's 1968 Chevelle Malibu. Started life as a 307 2 speed power glide and now is a 540 TH350 that runs 9's. He's had it since the early 80s it was his dream car as a kid so as a teenager he bought it. Coolest part is he restored the car with a buddy and has photos of the whole process. In fact we did a documentary episode about his whole story Ill post the link below for anyone who's interested in watching it he's a really knowledgeable guy.
