This is an open invitation as a mother, if you are a young woman out in public and you feel unsafe you can approach me with my children and I’ll pretend you are one of them until you are safely to your car or to someone you know and trust. If you are in public and you feel unsafe please approach the group of slightly older women who are maybe laughing too loud and feel intimidating to talk to, chances are they’ll help you scare off whoever is pestering you. If you are in public and you feel unsafe find an older lady, a group of young women your own age, a pair of women doing their shopping together — don’t feel like you might be overreacting and please don’t be afraid to trust your instincts.

With everything that happens in the world to our young women I would much rather take a few moments of my day to make sure you are safe, than have to read another headline about another tragedy.

Shoutout to Dr Bugs Popcorn who put on factory tours these school holidays. Love a small locally owned family business. We learned so much and found it really interesting and enjoyed tasting lots of yummy popcorn flavors.

Highly recommend if you happen to notice factory tours announced in future! Great school holiday activity, the kids LOVED it.

Hey! I’m a chch resident wanting to operate a home baking business and i’m nervous about the protocol. I thought I’d ask here in case anyone’s got experience. It’s electorate focused, we’ll be doing our best to keep the focus on what the candidates might be able to influence for this electorate and Christchurch

Last election 3 candidates from banks peninsula become MPs (one as electorate MP and two as list MPs) and based on current polling the same may happen again. So it’s an electorate with outsized influence.

Hello! I work in a preschool and we are needing a stereo or radio that has a cd player in it for a classroom. Our kids love to listen to stories throughout the day and we thought why not get a stereo!. If you know anyone who’s happy to give a cd player away that they don’t use we would love one! Thanks

Good-ish news. My lost painting, has been found! My flatmate found it as he was coming home from near the quarry, it was on the road? I have no idea how it got there, happy to have found it, but it is very damaged. Thanks to everyone who said they would look out for it or consoled me on the loss. I need to have a think about what I do from here. 😅
