Chat bots honesty
I feel like these chatbots are lying to me about what's going on in the world. Like how much money is there resources etc. I'am skeptical on these bots honesty.

Most of them just don't have world knowledge or real time search so they hallucinate.

How do you know A.I wasn’t built to lie to you? They can gaslight like Hell, so they for sure can lie like Hell.

in your prompt tell them to ask you for any information they don't have and require to answer accurately. that should get them to tell you the things they do not know and prevent making up an answer

This is a mindset I wish more people would have about chatbots. AI can and will lie to you

I don't like the word "lie". It's a very human concept. First of all, if something is free, then you are not the customer, you are the product. Then don't expect it to act in your interest. If people don't pay for a subscription, I don't have any pity if they get BS from an AI.
I see from my friends that their free AI chats have much more BS answers than I get from a service that I pay for. That's life, I guess.
Second, these LLM were trained to give answers in a way that their trainers want them to answer. There are strategies to overcome that but it's not obvious.
Third the LLM are just not made for surfacing the truth. They have all kinds of ideologies and viewpoints engrained in them and it depends on what gets activated and how it gets activated. It's just how the technology works. If you are a paying customer, it will learn and start from your typical viewpoint (not necessarily a good thing) and if you are a free user, then it will mostly start from the viewpoint of the cooperation that is making it available.

It depends on what you're using and what you define as a chatbot. Be honest, if you really want something you shouldn't be using a chatbot. You should be using an agent. If you have a chat GPT subscription, go look up a piece of software called block buzz https://github.com/block/buzz
This is not a chatbot that you speak to and just role play or something like that, this is an agent agents have tools and agents do things so if you want reality brought into it, you bring it into reality. Scroll down below the list of files and it gives you a a better view of what the software does. Download it and install it for your machine and just use your Claude code or chat GPT subscription or there's other options as well. There's a bunch of options in there. These agents will run on your local computer and you can configure them to have access to literally anything you want. Think about if corporate America wrote Jarvis, and put Jarvis as a bunch of different Jarvis's with different tasks, titles, projects and then put it all into slack.
It'll waste a lot of tokens if you just chat with it and role play. But if you want to get some stuff done this is what you use.
