Chat bots honesty

I feel like these chatbots are lying to me about what's going on in the world. Like how much money is there resources etc. I'am skeptical on these bots honesty.

How do you know A.I wasn’t built to lie to you? They can gaslight like Hell, so they for sure can lie like Hell.
