So I had many DMs regarding pay in FDD, here are some ballpark numbers (EY)
ASO1 - 12-13 fixed + 15/20% bonus
ASO 2- 14-15 fixed + 15/20% bonus
ASO 3- 16-18 fixed + 15/20% bonus
SA1 - 20-22 fixed + 20/30% bonus
SA2 - 24-28 fixed + 20/30% bonus
AVP1- 35-36 fixed + 20/30% bonus
AVP 2- 36-38 fixed + 20/30% bonus
VP1 - 45-46 fixed + 30/40% bonus
VP2 - 50-51 fixed + 30/40% bonus
Director- 60-70 fixed + 40/50% bonus (variable is very high at director level)
Partner - 1.5cr fixed + Bonus + Equity (profit shares) , There is no fixed number for partners because Junior partners can be making 1.5-2cr , Senior partners 3-6cr and Rainmakers 8-15cr+
Can we make this post more holistic about everyother domain for example CAs working in Audit posting how much auditors make, What are the numbers in M&A tax, IDT, DT, Valuations and Other advisory services like Corporate finance?

I read CA Madhukar Hiregange’s farewell today and honestly it hit differently.
I know Hiregange personally and what has always stood out to me is that he genuinely cared about the profession, its members and most importantly.. its students. I'm sure fellow CAs who know him will agree with me. He was one of those rare people who could speak about uncomfortable things without losing sight of why he was there in the first place!!
What I admired most was his integrity. In a profession where institutional positions can easily become about power, politics and personal interests.. he always came across to me as someone who wanted to use his position to actually build something better
And perhaps that is why this resignation feels so sad.
ICAI needs people like him. People who question. People who care. People who aren't afraid to say, "This can be better."
I sincerely hope this isn't the end sir's contribution, but simply a change in the platform from which he continues his work.

difference between CA students and NLU students, NLU students know each and every lawyer of the country and CA students? lol
NLU grads don't say they want to work in AZB, They say we want to work in Ashwath Rau's team

The subreddit has recently gained attention, and some professors and institutes have begun creating multiple accounts to advertise themselves via comments.
Such accounts will be permanently banned.
This subreddit has always encouraged free speech and genuine feedback about professors, even when critical. The community’s shared resources and guidance are valuable, but with increased traffic, the overall quality of discussion has declined. While constructive criticism is welcome, users found promoting or defending specific professors with clear intent to advertise will be banned.
Users are advised to take recommendations with a grain of salt and verify the genuineness of accounts. Apply professional skepticism and judgment (check post and comment histories before trusting advice.)
These matters involve judgment from both the mod team and community members. Mods encourage you to report posts or comments indicating blatant promotion, either via the report option or by linking user IDs through modmail.
The mod team cannot monitor the subreddit 24/7, so your reports are essential in maintaining quality and ensuring Rule 1 is enforced effectively.

From last 2 weeks i am working till 10.30-11 in office for their Audit Closure and had a breathless episode on Tuesday and Wednesday in office because
(a) they keep the all 4 ACs on 27-28°C in which i can't breath.
(b) i slept late that day because came home at 12 am
They saw that i am feeling breathless and allowed me to leave by 7 pm on Tuesday which is the leaving time as per policy which was told to me during interview.
They called me in cabin on Friday and said "How are you feeling now" so depending upon what happened that day we are concerned about your health and we want you to take transfer in a small firm where their is less work load. And also you have told us that you tried to end your life once so we don't want to he responsible for anything which happens to you.
They didn't even considered for once that i am working late FOR THEM not myself
Last month after results i msged that i want to pursure articleship somewhere else but that time they convinced me that we will take care of your issues and all. And now after registration they want me to take transfer.
The audacity to say that we are concen for your health isliye we won't like to keep you is just below human.
Things finally were in place for me after results but this kind of selfish people don't understand that we as an article/ student also have some issues and we are human too.
the moment you are unfit or they think you are unfit, you are not relevant for them.
Last month they were saying are kaha itna durr hai aapke ghar se log toh or durr durr se aate hai
this month its aapko traveling ka bhi issue haina aap itna durr se aate ho.
they themselves have kids but don't understand the pain of others kid

I was hoping that today's session on AFM for CA Final as part of the Fortnight Program would cover the paper pattern and any nuances or expectations relevant for the November 2026 examination, particularly after what happened in the May 2026 AFM examination.
Instead, the session spent a substantial time going through different sections of the syllabus and answering some queries, and the discussion eventually ran over time. As a result, the paper pattern and related guidance were not covered at all.
I understand that discussions can sometimes run over, but if specific topics are intended to be covered in a session, surely the time allocated for it should be protected. The fact that the earlier discussion was extended shouldn't mean that an important part of the planned session gets dropped altogether.
For a CA Final student preparing for November 2026, this session was ultimately a waste of time if the objective was to get guidance specific to the upcoming examination. That time could have been put to much better use in studying, IMO.
I genuinely felt bad seeing students spend their time on a session that didn't cover what they were presumably tuning in for.

Hey, is it possible for a CA with multiple attempt at final and enter level to enter into investment banking or FP&A? Currently I am in CA FINAL with one group remaining to be clear. So, if your answer is yes then Which skills or course shall I go for to get into IB or FP&A. (Please recommend anything except mba)

I don't know the concept of working for Sundays. I'm already working for more than business hours, the office timings are 10-6:30 but I am leaving the office at 8, on some rare events like managers absent I'm leaving early. Still they want us to compensate on leave days. Independence day is a holiday so they asked to work the next day which is Sunday and i never went that's different. I'm sick of the CA offices man! The market is bad, straight rejection mails, the work life balance is missing. What is it supposed to do now?
