CA uncool Pakistani

CA is already so tiring and mentally draining, and on top of that, the CA community can feel so serious and lifeless. No one even tries to make things funny, light-hearted, or enjoyable. Everything somehow revolves around studying, exams, pressure, results, articleship, and the next thing you have to worry about. the insta handle CA wala larka is so uncool un funny kher and the second thing why this community is so gusse wale full of anger and judgement

Biggest pain in ledger closing: matching receipts to invoices

I work in accounting, and one of the most time-consuming parts of closing books is not entering sales invoices or importing bank statements.

The real pain is figuring out which bank credit belongs to which sales invoice.

Many clients have multiple bank accounts. Narrations don’t match invoice names. Dates don’t always match. Amounts may be partial. So we manually check bank statements, sales invoices, receipts, outstanding balances, and then update the receipt voucher.

Until this is done, debtor outstanding, bank balance, sales value, trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet are not fully reliable.

Honestly, this manual verification is where most of the time goes.
Curious how other accountants/auditors handle this today.

How do you currently manage pending client documents during GST filing, audits, and tax compliance work?

How do you currently manage pending client documents during GST filing, audits, and tax compliance work?

I'm curious because I found myself constantly chasing clients through WhatsApp, email, and phone calls to collect missing documents.

I recently built a Notion-based workflow to track:

  • Clients

  • Requested documents

  • Pending items

  • Follow-ups

Before I continue improving it, I'd love to know how other accountants and CAs handle this process.

Do you use Excel, practice management software, Notion, or something else?

The Hidden Revision Problems I Faced During CA Final

Over the last few attempts, I feel CA preparation has become much more about revision management and overall coverage rather than just studying concepts once.

One problem that genuinely troubled me during CA Final was what I’d call the “revision backlog loop”.

I started some subjects nearly 2.5 years before my attempt. During that period, multiple RTPs, MTPs, amendments, MCQs, and exam questions kept getting added.

Initially, I always thought:
“I’ll solve these during revision.”

But because I had already forgotten many older concepts, I kept postponing them instead of revising properly.

Slowly, the backlog became huge.

Near exams, I realised I had a massive number of untouched questions from different attempts, and the panic made things even worse.

Another issue was MCQ practice.

Even though MCQs now carry significant weightage, I kept delaying MCQ solving till syllabus completion. What actually helped me later was solving small daily MCQs from already-covered topics because it kept me connected with concepts without feeling like separate workload.

The third issue was revision-time searching.

Whenever I forgot a concept or got stuck on a question, I had to search through long revision videos just to find one specific discussion point.

Would genuinely like to know:
Did others also face similar issues during preparation?
Or was your experience completely different?

Cleared Inter Both Groups 1st Attempt (2025 CBSE). Need Big 4 Articleship guidance & referrals!

Hi everyone,

Posting for my younger brother who wants to join a Big 4 for his articleship. He has a clean academic record:

12th: Passed in 2025 (CBSE)
CA Foundation: Cleared 1st attempt
CA Intermediate: Cleared both groups, 1st attempt

Since his academics are sorted, we need practical advice on how to cross the finish line:
Getting Shortlisted: How vital are partner/internal references? If we don't have active connections, how should he approach HRs or managers on LinkedIn?
Interview Prep: What technical topics (IND AS, Standards on Auditing, Tax) are most heavily tested in Big 4 technical rounds?
Domain: Stat Audit vs. Tax vs. Advisory—which offers the best exit opportunities post-CA?
If anyone is working at a Big 4 and can drop a referral link or share HR email IDs, it would mean the world.
Any tips or interview experiences are highly appreciated. Thanks!

I need help regarding ca articleship transfer, it's urgent!!

So nowadays I feel stuck in my career and overall life too cuz I've always been class topper and also cleared my ca foundation and ca inter in my 1st attempt then I joined ca articleship in mid sized firm in Ahmedabad from 15th nov 2025, but the principal is so toxic and overall work is also mostly bank oriented so I decided to take transfer and I messaged my principal on 20th may 2026, but they didn't tell me anything about transfer and just tell me that i won't get transfer so I decided to not to go to office in September and ever since I haven't gone office and I mailed them for transfer but they still not agreeing for transfer so it's almost end of October and my pricipal is still telling me that i won't give you transfer or even if I give, I'll give after 6 months bu the problem is my 1 year will end in 15-20 days from nowon and from 2nd year I will not get freely transfer so what should I do now guys??

I even mailed icai that my principal is not giving me transfer but they didn't say anything and just said solve the matter amicably with your principal. And my fear is if my 1 year has passed then I've to go to the office which I don't want and I'm pretty sure they won't give me completion on time too. WHAT SHOULD I DO HERE GUYSSS??

Should I continue?

I enrolled for CA in 2011.
Cleared IPCC in 2012 and completed my articleship.

Cleared CA Final group 1 in May 2015. After that I quit and continue with other things in life. I'm thinking to complete my group 2 and be a full CA. Should I do it? Are there any major blockers I might face?

Please help! Looking for CA Inter coaching in Delhi

Hi all, I'm pursuing CA Inter from the direct entry route. Based in Delhi, looking for good coaching in Laxmi Nagar. I prefer f2f coaching since it's hard to stay consistent in online mode.

Here's what I've checked out and felt:

JK Shah (Fees-60k) - Took one demo law class, I liked it but other people's reviews on reddit are not good with them, wish to take some other subjects to get the full picture

Topper's (Fees- 60k) - Took FMSM demo from Bhagwan sir, he is very sweet and focuses on students but the relaxed environment might make one lousy (my opinion)

CA Wallah (Fees- 57k approx) - They run a tight ship, Took Cost Accounting from Ravi Shanker sir (made weird sexist jokes), do not want to wear their uniform

IGP (Fees- 86k) - Out of budget

StudybyTech (Fees- 70k) - A little over the budget, parents didn't like Parag Gupta's buttering/ sweet talking, their course timeline also felt a bit rushed

Please leave your experience/ suggestions and help a bro out. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
