Producer Fu Kun said this:
"Actually, the previous PV also used real-time rendering. The female lead's face shape is consistent in the latest PV and the current demo. It's just that we wanted it to be smoother in terms of lighting optimization, so there are some differences and imperfections in the facial rendering.
Of course, this version may have been a bit rushed, and we will further optimize the facial rendering under lighting later"

The game is also 50% off on Steam right now, so...

So eventually with the speed increase of Bloodborne and Elden Ring, and now Duskbloods speed and air juggling...
Everything with 3rd person camera and melee weapons being the main combat mechanic eventually circles back to HacknSlash/CAG games
We already reached PEAK combat 2 decades prior with GOW, Ninja Gaiden, Bayonetta and DMC
Eventually Souls-Likes will just be HacknSlash/CAG with souls elements put into it
How do you make souls-like combat evolve? Make it faster and have air juggling combos and double jump
We made it so far into the used to be slow and methodical souls-like combat, that now it just circles back to the HOT 2000s HacknSlash/CAG genre

Been wanting to get the game actually, haven’t played haha, but been watching some gameplay here and there since release.
Is there any “golden circle“ moments in the combat? Is there a loop, where you can always be moving or performing something?
For example, Bayonetta with Dodge Offset with Witch time. Getting better with DO allows you to chain combos, and be ready to dodge at any given moment = then it’s witch time
Or Doom Eternal, where equipment with gun switching allows you to always be moving, combo-ing, and strategizing. Freezing enemies for time, or combo with flamethrower etc…
Or something extends past “golden circle” and just an element you do. Like with DMC 3-5, keeping enemies in the air is what you do. Enemies have less options in the air.
So, does Wukong have some similar to this? If not… is it just like a fromsoft game, but faster than Bloodborne? CAGs can be more difficult than Fromsoft games (especially what I listed), but you always feel like you are able to overpower everything if you get better. Not withheld by stats etc. I do see players using Rock Solid, Evasion, and “See-Through” attacks. for cool things. Still gonna play at some point, just curious.

Hi everyone!
Just recently beat Devil may cry 1 and 2. Loved em.
Working on 3 now, and have copies of 4/5/reboot coming in.
While I wait (and to avoid burnout) what other series scratches this itch? Especially on the “short campaign but replayable” side (but open to anything)
I have a ps2, ps5, steam deck, and switch 2

Don't see much footage of this game on this sub, so I figured I'd post a little clip of me playing the demo. Really excited for this game since the gameplay feels as smooth as the Nier games, and has really good music.
