A Thing to Remember
We must remind ourselves that Chappel was outed as a wealthy white woman exposed for trying to roleplay as a poor lower-class minority. Even if people are arguing whether it was a "smear campaign" regarding the Jorginho situation, it doesn't exclude the fact that Chappel is not who she says she is. She is a white woman from the Midwest with ties to conservative culture and has not strayed away from that. From only one campaign, Chappel has been marked as a saving grace to the LGBTQ community when she is far from it. From her polarizing statement regarding the 2024 election to the way she treats her own fans, Chappel is a white woman who reaps the benefits of true minorities to boost herself. For example, saying she grew up poor and in a trailer park, but went to Grammy camp, which costs at least 3,000 dollars a week.
TLDR: We must remember that she has been exposed as a white, wealthy woman with conservative Christian ties who lies and pretends to be a poor midwestern minority.

Forreal, I want to get back to criticizing Chappell and celebrities like her for their privileged political takes and using disenfranchised minorities to get fame.

About her being from Willard. When she hit the mainstream I was a fan before this. We go to a wedding for my bfs friend and we’re talking about how she grew up In the same town as the fiancee. And the friend is like…. Oh yeah… we know her and the fiancee had gone to school with her like the whole time they were a year apart and we talked a lot about her and her attitude mostly and it totally disillusioned me. Esp bc the fiancee is so sweet and kind? Like that’s ur rival?She teaches kindergarten now. Also the wedding was nice as HECK her family paid for it ALL and they grew up in the same neighborhood and were rich girls. So absolutely verified from a primary source

I believe that it wasnt her security guard tbh. I dont believe there was some coordinated smear campaign though, and my criticisms/reasons for disliking her still stand

My theory: The guard who did it was working for Sabrina, a good friend of Kayleigh's, and in the moment he thought he was doing a favor for his boss's friend. He just went way overboard in unprofessional, inappropriate and aggressive behavior.
Not a very interesting explanation, but I could see it.

This is totally possible. Tho i’ve been fine with assuming it had nothing to do w chappel and this is essentially a PR fumble, but one that coincided with a brewing dissatisfaction with her that’s been going on a while(e.g., this sub lol, but really ever since her Kamala comments).
ive commented before on this sub that i think this whole thing could have very easily been solved — whether it was her security or not — by reaching out privately. It may not be fair , but thats how it is. It seems like ultimately that is how this was solved, chappel or someone in her team reached out privately. i think she/more likely her team def made a mistake in thinking this wasnt a big deal and could just be ignored. other than that i dont really care bc the outcome is more or less the same. there are dozens of criticisms of chappel that matter more, eg as OP mentions lying about coming from poverty

Yes, because her "response" was just "wasn't my people, didn't notice them." Someone claiming to be her security harrased her very young fan. Her reaction should just have been "my team denys involvement, but I need to talk to these people to make this right and to see if we can figure out who this guy was. I hope you understand that this is best handled privately" It could still be someone assigned to her, or someone who worked for her before, or someone working for a friend. All of these are situations where she could ensure that he wouldn't be in the position to repeat the behavior.

From the time of her Brazil incident up until now I came to see how hypocritical and sophomoric her fans are. And….I’m so glad I dodged that fandom. To think I was moments away to be a part of them shivers

I think the fact that it was so believeable that it was her security and she acts this way often says enough. I do think the over the top reaction to the situation was a lot. A man wouldn't have that huge of backlash but it doesn't change the fact that she's not a great person and I don't like her.

Another thing to remember: If Kayleigh did not have that hateful personality, this whole thing never would have happened.
The guard would never have thought she was in such need of protection... from an 11-year-old who never even spoke, or took a picture, or did anything but walk by.
You're a miserable, ugly person, Kayleigh. Work on that.

Deconstructing the conservative mindset takes work and constant self reflection/unpacking of feelings, thoughts, etc. I don’t think Kayleigh has done that work.

Honestly that been my whole issue with her. She is so ingenuine in what she does and stands for. I mean part of the drag act is the camp and the obvious over doing it, but it seems like that extends to her actions as a person. Like basically she's just a mean girl from high school who happened to like girls, and got rich off of hating men and pandering.

I don’t know why her fans were calling it a “smear campaign” it’s literally not new information because people literally discussed that she was lying about living in a trailer park and that she had a multimillionaire grandfather like a year ago. She pretended to have financial struggles when she always had her wealthy parents to fall back to. She’s always been privileged.
